I use it for things like Tea and when not in use I keep the spare ones on a plastic flimsy sleeve so they are ready for the next use, saves all the hassle trying to clean off normal tape residues and of re-writing labels all the time. The stickiness of MT washi is always enough to hold notes or photos easily on a wall and wrap packages together decoratively. It's good on lighter weight wrapping papers, particularly tissue, but if you need them to be very secure or your paper is stiffer and more prone to spring out of shape (thicker Kraft paper) then I'd recommend you use stronger tape as well or instead, particularly if it has to go through the postal service as it can be loosened when being bundled about with other packages. The nice thing about washi is that it can often be reused since it will peel off many surfaces, though if the surface is something like a textured or very matt paper it can sometimes lift fibres or tear the paper so it's best to test first if removability is an issue or a requirement. The first time I put some on a wall surface of painted lining paper it tore it when taken down a month later - so use with awareness on tearable porous surfaces.
