Beautiful rose gold/copper color
This lamp is stable! The base is a heavy slab of concrete with a rose gold plate to cover it. The dimmer has no settings but instead decreases/increases however much you wish as you turn the knob. My only complaint about this lamp is that it comes with a special bulb and you have to use only that bulb. I have no idea on the life span but can see this as a potential problem. Hopefully they won’t be expensive AND Amazon Prime available. Assembly was a snap and I didn’t need anyone else, just a step stool. I put the straight pole with one end resting on the step stool and lifted the base to be at a vertical angle flush with pole then hand screwed the bolt smoothly, using the included wrench for extra torque as a final touch. The bow also went together easily although I wasn’t able to find the hole to insert that minuscule hex screw that was in the bag with the instructions. Unless you have it located somewhere that the bow could be bumped or stressed, it’s secure enough without it. Besides, it’s silver so would show up like a wart on your lovely lamp. After you connect the wiring between the bow and the straight pole, you’ll need to gently push it all down into the pole so you can insert the bow all the way. Remember to remove the big thumbscrew first so you can see to align the holes in both pieces then screw the thumbscrew down in the hole. Again, hands are enough to do the job even though it has a large flat head screwdriver slot. I needed that stepstool again for the next part, just to reach up to the lamp. The shade attaches with a plastic screw sleeve that fits over the bulb socket. Simply remove the sleeve, slip the shade up and then position and screw the socket sleeve up until the shade is tight. Final step, screw in the provided bulb. Plug it in. Step back and admire your beautiful new lamp. I think this lamp is beautiful in the daylight or at night if it’s placed somewhere sunlight can reflect off the beautiful metallic finish during the day giving the room a warm glow. At night, you have endless variations on the dimmer for your needs. The inside of the shade is white, providing a neutral light reflected downwards. I love it! As long as the bulbs aren’t an issue, this gets five stars from me.

Beauty
First, it needs to be said that this lamp is gorgeous and quite large. It will easily become a focal point of your room whether you want it to or not. With that said, there are a few negatives to point out. First, the finish is very fragile. In fact, it came with plenty of scratches already on the globe and base. Fortunately, they can't be seen from afar, but with the cost being what it is, it is very disappointing to see scuffs and scratches in the finish. Next, the assembly is a pain in the rear. The instructions are short and sweet, but clear enough. The toughest part is putting the rods together with all the cabling you need to stuff in them. We found that if we pushed the cable adapters down into the rod as deep as possible and off to the side, we could slip the other rod in with less effort. It would have been nice if the manufacturer left more slack to slip the cables down deeper. Lastly, we are not sure if it is the bulb or the socket, but the bulb flickers randomly. It is very annoying, and almost to the point that we don't want to use it. Onto the better news. As noted, it is gorgeous. The color of the finish is elegant. The base is sturdy and has a felt bottom to protect your floor. The bulb doesn't get hot at all. So no heat displacement. And it has a dimmer switch, so you can control the brightness. It's a wonderful lamp, with room for improvement. The cost at the time of this review seems a little high due to quality control issues, but you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer lamp at a better cost.

Big, Bold Lamp
I really like the look of this lamp. It reminds me of the big ball hanging lamps from the 70s except this is on a platform with a very cool dimmer. One thing to note is that this lamp is large! It goes better in a large room because otherwise it may overtake the entire room. That's my opinion anyway. Personally, I like it's overstated look. I put this behind the couch so it overhangs and makes a great reading lamp. I also like the rose copper though it was often take thorough dustings to keep it looking shiny and bright. My husband put this together in about 20 minutes with no major issues. He did use a tool of his own to tighten the lamp and the cord has to be tucked into the tube. The base is like cement encased in the copper bottom because if it wasn't heavy enough, the lamp would surely be top heavy. It took a bit of adjusting to get the ball lamp to hang straight. This is a nice lamp. It makes a bold statement and stands out I think. It's very decorative and I love the filament bulb that comes with this and it adds to modern look of this lamp. With the dimmer switch and basic design of this lamp, I think it's very unique and cool looking. I wanted to put it in my bedroom but it is too big so it has to be in the living room-all in all I really like it. A lot of available standing lamps are garbage. They often look cheesy and come loose in no time, but this lamp is solid and of good quality and it has a classy look and is very unique.

Stabilize it with something like a cinder block!
I'm a person who has read and successfully followed directions for many, many you-put-it-together items. This is no exception, but I do think it is a badly designed product in general. Basically you secure a pole into a heavy stone base with a big screw and a couple of washers, then follow a slightly different procedure to secure a second pole, and then a third pole that is angled in an arc. To that you secure the large round metal shade, put in the included bulb, plug in to wall outlet, switch on, and you're done. Turn off switch and unplug from wall after each use. I did follow all the steps carefully and in order from the diagram and text directions. The main problem appears to be the heavy weight of the shade, which pulls the whole structure forward and even warped a little metal ring that was supposed to help hold it secure to the base. The long and short of it is: this is too big to return, it's really rather pretty and the dimmer works. So...if you counterweight the back of the round rock base behind the pole so that the weight rests against a wall (using something like a vertical cinder block draped in an attractive old blanket), it works, and I do like it. Wouldn't buy it, or anything shaped like it, ever again, but I've made it work for me.

The assembling is painstaking - Nice design, but faulty manufacturing
In all the years I’ve been reviewing, I’ve never found an electronic product so poorly made. Seriously, it’s as if the factory didn’t have any quality control. Or as if this lamp was built, and nobody bothered trying putting it together before making any more. The first thing I noticed, it’s that regardless of having taking a lot of effort in packing it inside a large box with a lot of padding, the lamp is prompt to scratches. And the paint just looks cheap. And this is supposed to be a luxury item. The printed instructions look easy to follow, and because I’d assembled many similar lamps, I know that something is wrong with this one. The big issue is the inside wiring, which apparently, it is the same type of wiring that is being used for lamps with multiple bulbs too. That I guess are being made in the same factory. So, because this one is a single bulb, the extra wiring is covered with electric wire caps. And the problem is that this wires are supposed to fit inside the lamp tubing together with the parts that get screwed into the lamp. It’s a nearly impossible fit. After more than an hour trying, I found that I could carefully organize the wires inside the tube. And this I had to repeat with the second extended part. So, it’s possible, but painstaking and the result is that the wired and connectors are compressed inside the tube. I had to be careful not to damage the wires. Next, the part that holds the shade, which is made from metal and is heavy, but it is only held by a plastic ring cap, which it goes into the plastic socket. Basically, the shade is too heavy to depend on a plastic ring cap, and we all know that LED bulbs get hot. Just imagine, heated plastic holding lots of weight. In the end, I decided that I didn’t like the idea of having this lamp around my children, so we will not be using it at all. I’m uploading some pictures so you can form your own opinions. It comes with a concrete base that goes inside the metal cover. In the instructions said that the base is made of marble. No, it’s concrete. Trust me on that one. Which doesn’t really matter, and it’s the only decent part of the lamp, because it does hold the lamp in place.

An Interesting, Quirky Piece, but only at Half the Price.
Wow, is this a large lamp. The copper lampshade itself is a little bigger than a basketball and is larger in scale than it appears in the picture. It’s very reminiscent of a 60’s/70’s deco design that would do well with a some shag carpet and a globe chair and would look at home in Elvis’s Jungle Room. I actually like the copper/rose gold color, but it’d be nice to see this in a glossy white or black. The light is secured by a 10 lb. round concrete slab over which slips a metal cover. As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions say the base is marble; it’s not, it’s concrete. If you’re not careful when putting this together, this slab can certainly make a dent in your floor or your foot. The final product looks bigger than it does in the picture – especially the lampshade. Packaging – Everything you need to assemble the lamp comes within the box and is secured by big blocks of Styrofoam wrapped in packing tape. If you’re not careful removing the tape, the Styrofoam tends to crumble all over the floor. Each piece is wrapped in plastic in order to prevent scratches; however, the copper shade I received had a noticeable dent in the side that that looks like it may have been a manufacturing defect. Assembly – The instructions came as a one-page back and white insert. The print was very small and seems like it was translated into English – there was some awkward phrasing and some grammatical issues throughout. In order to connect the arching arm holding the lamp to the stem, you have to pull the wires out of the stem, connect them, and then stuff them back in without crimping or crushing the plastic connectors. The way this was designed doesn’t leave much room to safely tuck the joined wires away. I managed to get them in place, but I’m hoping the wiring casing didn’t crack in the process. You’ll know the pieces are aligned when you can put the large screw in place to secure both pieces. Although a small makeshift wrench comes with the lamp, you’re better off using a socket wrench to ensure a secure fit between the lamp and the base. You’ll also find a small Allen-wrench to help secure the two pieces of the arch that holds the round lampshade in place. Because the lamp has a dimmer switch, specific bulbs are necessary. The instructions state you should only use the recommended LED bulb (LED True 360-Degree view Filament Bulb), that any other bulbs could cause issues. On Amazon, these bulbs (L3-8TDM-E26-27) run about $12 a piece and are sold in multipacks of five. There is a message in the instructions that states that other brands of bulbs may not be compatible with the lamp and may cause the dimmer switch to burn out. This would, in effect, void the warranty. I can’t recommend this for the price. Maybe at half the price this would be something to consider, but there wasn’t anything in the quality of the materials, the wiring, the instructions, and with how easily the surface material scratches that could cost justify it. It’s an interesting, quirky piece, but only at half the price.

Gorgeous Lamp with a Beautiful, Adjustable Glow
I am so pleased with my new floor lamp. The Artiva Alrigo LED dimmable lamp stands tall, and defines beauty within the room. I love the softness of the light. The LED bulb with its multiple, long filament strips distribute light evenly within the globe, emitting an elegant, full, comfortable glow. I have the globe centered above the a sofa. It seems as though the lamp was made for just such a setting. It could make a wonderful over-bed lamp for readers, as well. I chose to assemble the lamp myself. Attaching the base requires patience in lining everything up level while the screw goes in. Once the base is on, the uppers are a piece of cake, along with gently stowing the wires where manually clipped near the dimmer. The lamp base consists of a weighty, thick, unfinished marble disc, with the metal cover placed over it. The finished structure is a work of art - a showpiece on its own. I absolutely love it! I uploaded a photo of the lit bulb, highlighting the filament set. I have the rose copper finish. I’ve never been more pleased with a lamp than I am with the Artiva Alrigo, it’s just spectacular. It provides instant mood within a room, offering a range of intensity from romantic, to warmly festive. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to review this lamp. It’s one of my favorite selections, by far. I love it.

Nice lamp, does exactly what it says.
Let us first start out by saying this is a large lamp. There is nothing small about it and unless you have someplace to put a very large lamp you might want to look elsewhere. This item comes in a very large, well-protected box. I had zero issues with quality or with assembly. Everything was pretty easy to follow and within a half an hour I was up and running. This is a well put together lamp and looks good in my living room. I have browns, tans and off-white everywhere and this little bit of copper goes well with it all. The base is solid with a very heavy base. This lamp will not move. The lamp itself is dimmable. You can slide up and down and create the perfect light for whatever. I have it over a chair so I can read at night. I like this lamp. I have a big enough room so it doesn't seem huge. Remember, the lamp is probably a foot across at the top. It is built well and it works well. I really have no issues.
