this is a fabulous math counting and color sorting f game

I homeschool my 6 year old and we love this phonics activity set. My daughter reads fairly well for her age so she's probably a little farther along than the intended audience for this product but she enjoys playing with it. I find that it's great for reinforcement of skills she's already familiar with as well as those she may struggle with. The parts are rather open ended so it's easy to make up your own games to extend beyond the ones suggested in the manual. Every piece is well made and feels sturdy. My kid really loves the pretend baking aspect of it, too. All of Learning Resources products have been so high quality in my experience and this one is no exception.

Everything in this set is made of seemingly good quality material. The little card and muffins are material that won't damage easily, which is great as I want to save this for both my kids. It is such a cute and thoughtful way to introduce children to words. My daughter is still a little young but I love having her play with these resources as she is starting to recognize words (we are working on the alphabet). The fact this looks like a baking set makes her eager to not only play with it but hear me sound out the words. I'm hoping she starts grasping this all soon, and I love this company for the resources they put out.

It comes with some great ideas for using the game pieces, but there are many ways you can come up with on your own (if you are the creative type). It is great for an older preschooler/kindergartener to practice letter sounds and identifying letters. The muffin pan makes it more of a kinesthetic learning experience and is great for children who need more of a concrete/tactile learning method. It is also great for visual learners. It's an adorable little set that is great for homeschoolers or parents who just want to work with their littles on phonics skills.

beginner friendly game to teach kids letters, sounds and cvc words. keeps them intrigued and fun to pull out when doing a language arts lesson. would recommend this to have at home or in a class room for preschool and kindergarten. my 5 year old enjoys playing with it.

This phonics activity set is great for extra hands on practice. Great for practicing with rhyming words, beginning sounds, spelling, vowels, and more. This is of course a small set with 10 words family cards, but still a great hands on tool. You could probably even make some of your own to add to the set. This is great for having in a homeschool classroom for littles who needs something hands on to work on while teacher is working with other students. This would also be great to add to a traditional Kindergarten room.

My kids REALLY love this activity but it's not my favorite mostly because of all of the small bits. The muffins are pretty small and the little letters are about the same size. I recommend doing this activity in an area that prevents the letters and muffins from falling on the floor!

My student likes this a lot, but it could use more cards. It's not stimulating enough with the few cards provided. Also, not nearly enough rubber muffins are provided.

I do not think I would buy this again. The product was not that easy to understand despite having lengthy instructions that were included. I was really excited to buy this product as it looked really cute and looked tactile friendly for my young niece. I have purchased other products that taught beginning letter sounds better.
