Very Flavorful Sauce; Highly Recommend!
I was pleasantly surprised to find this half gallon of chipotle Tabasco sauce, as they seem to only sell five ounce bottles in physical grocery stores. In Pennsylvania, these small bottles usually cost about $3 a pop, which is expensive to me considering they don't last very long between my girlfriend and me. In total, I paid about $28 for this jug including the shipping (the $8 in shipping fee is a bit high to me) which works out to be at least a $10 savings in the long run, not to mention the time saves in grocery trips. If you've never tried the chipotle version of Tabasco, I highly recommend trying it, unless you just plain don't like hot sauce. This variety is quite different than the standard Tabasco; it tones down the heat quite a bit, while increasing the flavor in its place. Because of this, you will likely want to apply more of this chipotle sauce to a dish than you would regular Tabasco. After trying this for the first time a few years ago, it managed to shoot to the top of not only my hot sauce list but my girlfriend's as well. It seems to go good on just about anything I've tried it on; definitely Mexican, eggs and cooked veggies but surprisingly well with meats too. I even enjoy a touch of it as a steak sauce to spice things up a bit. In summary, I highly recommend just about anyone try this sauce (start out with either the five ounce bottles sold in stores or at a Chipotle restaurant) and if you find yourself in the same boat as myself and the other reviewers on this list, this half gallon jug is a no brainer. It actually saves you money and should keep for a reasonable amount of time in your pantry.

An Unexpected Flavor - I put this On everything
Let me start off that I love Tabasco sauce. I use it on everything. My son discovered the Chipotle flavor but I refused to try it. Why, I would say because I don’t like Chipotle. Well, not only was I wrong, I was very wrong. Once I tried it, I started using it on everything. I was going through a 5 ounce bottle in less than a week (I wasn’t able to find the 12 ounce size at my local store). I looked on Amazon and saw the half gallon size I knew that the flavor God was smiling down on me. I’m getting ready to buy my second half gallon! Don’t get hung up on what you think you don’t like! Try this flavor - trust me you will love it.

Chipotle tabasco, much more flavour than the standard
If you just want to add pure heat to your food, then use the standard Tabasco. If you want a nice smoky flavour as well, then this chipotle tabasco is the one for you. I use tabasco in serious quantities, and buying it half a gallon at a time saves a SERIOUS amount of money over buying the small bottles in the store. It seems to keep just fine in the fridge, my previous bottle is at least a year old.

and the smoky flavor goes great with eggs
Tabasco Sauce is a little too vinegary for some foods. Chipotle Sauce is hotter, and the smoky flavor goes great with eggs, cheese and potatoes dishes if you want to give foods that extra kick. If you like spicy and smokey it's a good choice that doesn't overpower the flavor of the food (just don't get carried away - this jug was shipped right from the factory according to the shipment details and it has a kick compared to the smaller bottles bought in grocery stores). Add some to yogurt and taco seasonings for a great low fat dip for chips. I take a small bottle with me to Mexican restaurants since to me it tastes better than the sauces they offer. I even filled a small bottle to keep in the break room at work, and now I have to refill it every few weeks since everyone who's tried it had become addicted. May have to order a larger size or two of these next time.

A little savory, smoky kick without the Hellfire Gotcha!
I enjoy a little zesty flavor on my Keto-friendly “Fiesta Scramble” every morning. Salty, spicy, smoky, without the hiccup-inducing, molten lava, mouth cauterizing Hellfire Gotcha of most hot sauces. I did the math: figuring I go through a five-ounce bottle every week, adds up to over two-gallons and $200 a year! This half-gallon, large economy size refill jug of Tabasco Smoked Chipotle Pepper Sauce is a better value. Just make sure to buy a small funnel that fits inside the 3/8” diameter neck of the five-ounce bottle.
