Great Ulility lamps. Works perfectly after a year. 5/5 stars.
I've had two of these plugged in and clamped to workbench in my previous project studio With one near a pair of Turntables & the other next to an MPC I was using at the time. I'm in the process of updating my studio right now. But plan to use these wherever they work best. I haven't had any issues, they still work perfect after more than a year. The lamps have 2 brightness settings and 3 light temp settings cold/warm/brightest. They're no frills, small but provide enough light for any small area. For my situation they worked worked perfectly. Your usage may vary. But what I can say is they are reliable. I never noticed any flickering. But keep in mind, after I got them in the space I needed. I never moved them. Maybe that's why they still work like new. Think of them as tiny little spot lights. The power switch is attached to the cable you plug in They're easy to use & stay where you need. The gooseneck is stiff in the best way. While still allowing you to bend the lamp however you need. Allowing you to get the lamp into small, tight spaces as needed. Seen here in the photos I attached. From my experience & use case, these work perfectly as utility lamps. But should work just as well as a small desk lamp. Quality at a price that's hard to beat. Hope any of that helps.

Good. For: plants in tiny fish tank. High power 8-10 hours / on 6,000 mah battery. Like USB option.
This works over a tiny fish tank (2.5 gallon / nano sized) with live low/medium light plants. I love that it has a USB plug - so I can use rechargeable power-banks (like you use for your phone - how long it lasts in next paragraph). Outlets are scarce in my home. This round light would be better over a bowl -with a round shape - since it throws light in a circular shape. My tank is rectangular and the light hits a circular area more strongly than the rectangular edges, I should have sought a rectangular shaped light. There are 3 color settings, very cool, neutral, and warm; plus high and low on each color setting. High on Neutral offers the very most light according to my phones light meter app. On that setting, it ran for 8 to 10 hours on my 6,000 mah battery. (Lost track after 8 hours - I think it is closer to 10.) On the low setting of warm color - which seems to be the least light - it was running for 8 hours when I turned off my 3,000 mah battery (would go longer). Too early to report on success for growing - will report back - but three tiny cryptocoryne plants are perkier since using it for only 2 days. The clip is functional, but they included a flat item with a hole that supposedly can be connected to the clip. It doesn't allow the lamp to stand free and it doesn't seem to make a good buffer when clamping. To me the flat item seems un-necessary. The goose-neck is good and bendy with sufficient strength to hold. Personally, I could have used a longer neck, but this should be good for most folks. There's a plug that can be used between the USB plug and wall outlet if you choose not to power by battery. I don't use it. Over all, I really like it. Some folks complain it doesn't produce enough light. Not sure if they're trying to light a room with it, but when the only thing turned on in my room is the fish tank light (this light) I have plenty of ambient light in the room for relaxing. (Light is about 5' away from me). It's far brighter than a nightlight for certain. It feels like it might be about as bright as a 40-50 watt incandescent for lumens - but I haven't checked. It is not as bright as my 60-watt incandescents. Hope this helps someone.

Decently bright, but cannot be used with a wall switch
Overall, this is a really nice little light. Unfortunately, I had to return it because of one issue: I had it plugged into an outlet that was controlled by a wall light switch. With the wall switch on, and this light's switch on, everything worked great. BUT, when I turned the wall switch off, and then back on, this light did NOT come back on. I had to turn it back on using it's own switch, and that defeated my purpose..

Perfect small headboard light
This IS NOT a full-size desk light, it's a small bed light. I bought it because I specifically wanted a small light that would clip to my headboard for reading at night, but some of the reviews indicate that other people wanted a big light and didn't realize this one would be so small because some of the wording in the description refer to 'table light' and it's shown in one picture clipped to a desk, etc. If you want a desk light, consider something else. If you want a small reading light, go with this one. I've only had it for a few weeks so far, but it's very sturdy. I have a rounded iron headboard, but even without it being a flat surface to clip to, the clamp holds steady and the adjustable flex body can be easily moved and then stays where I put it. Some people mentioned it's not very bright, but again, for the purpose of a small reading light, it's plenty bright. It won't illuminate a whole desk / work surface. It's better suited for use over your shoulder as a reading light. I like that it has two different brightness settings for each of the three "colors" of light. I tend to leave it on the brightest setting for the warm yellowish light rather than the whiter light, which feels a little too harsh / cold for me for night time. Overall, great price for a great little light for reading.

Great Reading Light
My wife likes to read paperbacks in bed, and having a full bedside lamp was overkill. We were in the market for a smaller reading lamp, capable of warm light and low brightness, so that it wouldn't affect my sleep. This light does the job. Pros: USB power, and portable. This lamp can be run off the same USB Type A port as most cell phone power adapters, meaning it's very easy to power this on the go. The unit has both a clip to attach to a an object such as the edge of a desk, or a metal stand to allow it to sit on a table. It has been perfectly stable in both modes. Dimming light with warmth control. The unit has a power switch with 3 modes - off / low / high. It also has 3 warmth controls - cool (blue) / neutral / warm (yellow). For my usage, this lamp will mostly be in the low and yellow modes. It's plenty of light to read by, but dim enough that when I roll away from the light source I can sleep soundly. It's a good balance. In the bright mode, the light might be enough for a small office or drawing table. Directional. The light has a short hood, so it shines in a nearly 90-degree flood. That makes it directional enough to be a reading or desk lamp, but it floods sufficiently that it's not a spot light. In my application, I'd say I'd prefer a slightly tighter beam (closer to 45-degrees would be nice) but this works. Flexible. The neck is flexible, and the base seems to tolerate a wide range of movement without wobbling. Cons: I'd prefer if the hood came down a touch more. Having the light source so close to the edge of the hood means it's too easy to end up staring into the lamp directly when my wife is using it as a reading lamp. This is okay - the leaking edge of the light is dim enough that I sleep soundly when I roll over - but I would have preferred more light blocking. Overall: This is a nice little lamp. For night reading, travel, or even a small drawing desk this is perfect. It travels well, it's flexible, it has great modes. So far I haven't had any issues.

Quality Varies From Lamp to Lamp
These lamps, when they work, are extremely versatile. You can switch between three warm/cool gradients and several brightness levels. The clamps are really strong and have a pretty wide expansion capacity. But the quality is all over the map. The first one I bought works perfectly, but the gooseneck droops (I used a zip-tie to hold it up). The on/off switch on the second one I bought jammed as soon as I turned it on, and I couldn't turn it off (returned). The third one I bought seems perfect (fingers crossed).

What a great little light!
I read the reviews on this little task light, positive and not-as-positive. It struck me that the reviewers that questioned the quality of the switch control and a few other points of the light, were either expecting too much for a lamp sold at this price level or apparently haven't purchased many modern appliances. Sure someone stated the lamp failed quickly after they first started using it, but looking over the number of positive reviews vs. that person's bad luck, I decided to order and find out for myself. I was looking for a very small lamp that could be placed on the end of my spare computer's desk, so I could see necessary details on the desk when there wasn't enough daylight to alleviate the shadows on the end of the desk, but more than enough light in the room to not want to turn on the overhead light in the room. Well, this little lamp has turned out to be perfect. It is the perfect size for my small, but serviceable computer desk. It has more than enough cord to reach the power strip that I run under the desk, but don't forget, it also can run on the voltage from a USB computer port if you don't want to use the little power brick (or can't!). The light provided by this lamp is also perfect for my needs, as you have two levels of brightness (intensity?) and three different colors (shades, K-spectrum) of light. This is all controlled by the aforementioned switch control; the one that another reviewer questioned it quality. Yes, the switch is all plastic (at least externally), but it has been working perfectly for me and is easy and intuitive to use. Plus, it is installed on the power cord near the lamp, making it convenient to control the lamp. I looped mine around the clamp that holds the lamp on the end of my desk, keeping it handy and right where I need it. The clamp is decent looking, color matched to the rest of the lamp (white in my case), and the "goose-neck" that is part of the lamp allows an almost infinite number of positions or placements, and the lamp stays where you place it. So, is this a high-quality, designer lamp, something someone would be proud to show-off? No. It's a well-made, extremely practical and useful appliance, within reasonable expectations. Do I expect it to last a long time? I have no idea. But it's simple and with any luck I think I can get a few years of useful life out of it, and it is solving a problem for me that I wanted to correct for along time. What more could you ask for considering the price these are going for? I highly recommend it for all kinds of uses that need spot lighting and as some reviewers noted, in a pinch it could also work as a reading light. Thanks for a great little lamp!

A great clip light!
This light is great. Has a strong clamp that opens wider than other lights we have tried, so we can use it even with our thick headboard. Lightweight, flexible, lots of settings for brightness and type of light. Can't comment on its lifespan yet, but hopefully will last a long time!
