it fit rite in place.havta use old cable.comes with screwdriver to remove screws...laptop fired rite up an all seems well..UPDATE..went to hell..wont charge..leaks

Easy to swap, extra capacity
Had more capacity than the original, 10 year old kid swapped it out (supervised). Works well, had 70% soc and runs the Dell for more than 5 hours with average use.

Battery was used.
A used battery was sent, had some damage and no hardware or instructions included as shown in listing. To much trouble to return. Would not buy again, poor service.

Easy to install, fits, tools included
Battery was installed into older Dell Latitude 5580 that had some issues. The battery is a drop in replacement and even includes that little screw on the upper right tab. There is an included screwdriver and wedge to pry off the back. The screwdriver is functional, though seems a size or so smaller than optimal for the 5580. I had my own, so I used that. The guitar pick pry device did work well. The cable is not included, which is standard, so you have to be careful when removing and moving to the new battery, but the plug fit well in the new battery. The overall process took about 10 minutes. It may take you more or less depending on how comfortable you are doing this. The battery did come with some charge and the laptop started right up. Happy with the battery so far.
