A budget friendly alternative to the higher end devices with great performance and battery life
I picked the WiFi version up in mid March 2025 for my 6 year old during a special after her tablet was cracked in an accident caused by her sister. I got this because its not exactly top of the line but it has a good balance power and performance, and I read many good reviews on it claiming the very same. When I gave this tablet to my daughter, she was excited. The first thing she noticed was the screen was almost 3 inches bigger than her previous tablet. She was so happy to have a tablet close in size to mine, and from the same company. lol (she's a daddy's girl and Samsung is my thing) She also noticed that her new tablet is so much faster than her previous tablet. She celebrated by downloading some of her favorite games from the google play store that her last tablet could not run without issue. I opted for the 12 GB ram model, which of you decide to pick one up, you should definitely do the same. It made the entire experience of this tablet so much better and smoother. The screen has amazing color richness for what I paid. I honestly figured for the price I paid, this was going to be just another washed out, low spec, disposable tablet. So many of the cheaper new tablets you see these days lack in some areas to justify boosts in others. Didn't take long to find out that this was not the case for this one. While you're not going to be playing games like Genshin Impact or CoD Mobile on ultra high settings, you can play most games on medium and a lot on higher settings with ease. My daughter does not stream movies on her tablet, so widevine support was not one of the specs I worried about when selecting this tablet. If you are into that and need your tablet to stream movies in high resolution, make sure to check the widevine level first. Low support could be a deal breaker for some people. Battery life seems to be quite good. On a full charge, she can usually get multiple days at a few hours per days before needing to plug in. She uses the tablet for everything from school work, light gaming, and her favorite thing.. searching for the definition of words she hears throughout the day and attempting to use them in sentences. Makes for interesting conversations.. lol Since this and many tablets and phones these days do not come with chargers, its best to find a decent one with multiple charging speeds starting at the lowest. Thats what I did and the tablet uses the fastest output that is needed for fast charge, you just need to be sure the charger you pick has multiple speeds if you don'tpick up a specific charger from Samsung. I used a 45w charger that clocks all the way down to charge low demand items, like my headphones. That charges my tablet at 45 An additional note: If you decide to get this tablet, be sure to pick up a fast, large capacity Micro SD card. I got myself a Samsung card directly from Samsungs site. I added a Samsung PRO Plus 512 GB microSDXC to my tablet and a 128 to my daughters. Now, the only thing I can honestly say i do not like about the A9+. The camera.. my daughter thinks its great, but she came from a tablet with a barely functioning camera to the A9+. She is just happy to be able to take pictures that don't look they were taken in the deep end of a swimming pool. lol Now if your thing is taking a lot of pictures at good quality, this really is not the device for you. But keep in mind, most of these tablets are not focused on camera quality like today's phones. They put most of their R&D into the hardware specs of the tablet and skimp on the camera quality. You want good quality photos in a tablet, you get a newer iPad or Galaxy S9 or S10 series (minus the FE). The S9 FE is a decent tablet, its just that Samsung spent most of that budget on improved hardware related to performance, not camera quality.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ has been a great tablet for our family. I bought it mainly for my 8-year-old, and it has quickly become one of his favorite devices. The large 11-inch screen is bright and clear, which makes it perfect for games, videos, and learning apps. One thing I really like is how smooth it runs. The upgraded processor keeps apps opening quickly and switching between them without lag. My son uses it for everything from YouTube and games to school apps, and it handles it all really well. The quad speakers are another nice feature. The sound is surprisingly loud and clear for a tablet, which makes watching shows or playing games more enjoyable without needing headphones all the time. Even though the screen is large, the tablet still feels lightweight and easy for a child to hold. It seems durable too, especially when paired with a good protective case. The battery life has also been solid, lasting through long play sessions without needing constant charging. Bottom Line Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is a great family-friendly tablet. It’s fast, easy to use, and the big screen makes it perfect for entertainment and learning. My 8-year-old absolutely loves it and uses it every day, which makes it a great purchase for our household.

Awesome colors
I bought two tablets at Christmas for my husband and brother in law. They absolutely love these things and use them everyday. The screen is big enough they can play games without readers on and the color is outstanding! The tablets are sturdy yet lightweight and very easy to set up and work. They charge fast and love to look at videos and play games on them. This is a great product and well worth the price.

I got one of the good ones.
I have read mixed reviews on these tablets. But it looks like this is one of the good ones. I bought this one, as it has the expanded 8gb of RAM (4gb is just NOT enough). And the expanded 128 GB of memory. The expanded memory is sufficient for me, as I have a 512 gig memory card in it, and an app that lets me install other apps to the SD card. (Downloaded for free off the play store) (I very much recommend doing that if you're a gamer. The cache sizes in some of these mobile games get HUGE. I have a 318 meg game with a 23 GIGABYTE cache. And I don't always remember to clear that out.) - Cons first - > 1) HEAVY. This is one chunky monkey of a tablet! Cased, and with a keyboard, this is easily as heavy as some slim notebooks. If the weight is a concern, you're better off with the functionality of a slim laptop for the amount of what this tablet costs. > Cameras- If you are looking for the cameras that Samsung is known for, they aren't here. These cameras are lackluster and mid grade, at best. I wouldn't use it for doing my reviews. It doesn't come with a flash led either. The microphone I would rate just slightly higher. > The hard buttons- Literally everybody has the power button below the rocker volume now days. For whatever reason, Samsung opted to switch that around, putting it OVER the volume rocker. This is counter intuitive to muscle memory from our phones. And it's actually kind of hard to adapt to by feel. > Not compatible with S pen. Doesn't come loaded with the software. And it doesn't have the sensor for the S Pen tips. I'm not sure if the screen is pressure sensitive or not. It does however work with the common rubber tipped stylus that you can buy everywhere. How well it works, depends on how good the stylus is. I have several with large and small tips, and have had no problems using them with this tablet. - Pros- > The screen is good. It's bright, clear, and works very well. If you're just looking for a daily tablet, the screen is great. If you're a screen snob, the specs are not as impressive on paper. But the screen really does look good in actual use. > Apps- The only app that I have used that gives this device ANY problems, is using the Opera browser to watch YouTube. I'm not sure if it's because of the advert blocker in Opera, but watching videos on that browser causes stuttering and/or lag to the video. The higher resolution the video, the worse it gets. Mostly a browser issue, not a hardware issue. But throwing it in there. EDIT: DEFINITELY A BROWSER ISSUE. The VPN service for Opera was not caching videos properly, causing the issue. Turning the VPN service off fixed the problem and videos are running wonderfully now. I work with a LOT of GIF images. In a gallery app this puts a Lot of strain on phones and tablets. This guy handles them just fine with no excessive problems. > Battery: Speaking of a lot of gifs. Battery. Constant motion on the screen works the video processor a lot. Which works the battery a lot. The screen constantly making images move also works the battery a lot. I will say, the battery impresses me. I get 6-7 hours out of a 100% charge. That's with as many apps stripped out of it as possible, and doing all the motion work, editing, and video watching that I do. My previous 10" tablet was lucky to get 3 hours. > *The UI- I am REALLY liking what Samsung has done with their UI on this device. Multiple windows at a time (that you can resize and move about and even overlap, on the screen) combined with a movable task bar is an absolute game changer, that more devices need to incorporate. Starts to lessen that gap between tablets and laptops for doing tasks, work, and doing things while gaming or watching vids. Multitasking is soooo much better in this UI. I really can't stress enough how much of an improvement this system is, over stock Android. The drop down and slide out menus are also good. Easy to get to, but not in the way that I'm opening them up by accident. I usually use the tablet in portrait mode. The directional controls (back button, home button, and task button) are movable on the screen from left or right. With my settings they are easily reached with my right thumb while normally holding the tablet. > Speakers. The speakers are ok. Standard level, IMO. Decent range and volume. Better than in some tablets and phones. They perform well, but I'm a sound snob. Also doesn't include any software for sound improvement, so there's also that. Which I recommend downloading an app with a 10 band equalizer to help these speakers out. For better sound, use ear buds or a Bluetooth speaker. Sound output is actually pretty good. Pairing Bluetooth headphones, or via the 3.5mm jack (which is plugged in the corner of the tablet...?) I get good sound quality. Better than my Moto Stylus phone, which is not so great for headphones. > The Bluetooth range is good. It can stay connected if I walk all the way across the house, and even out the door. IF the connected device has a good Bluetooth system, of course. > Wi-Fi does not give me any connection problems. But my room is just down the hall from our router. > Boots fairly quick. Faster than my phone. > Comes loaded with Samsung Notes. Which is arguably one of the best mobile apps for notes. All said, it's a better tablet than some reviewers list it as. With the 8gb ram. It's a good machine, and I'm happy with the purchase.

EXCELLENT! Exactly what I was looking for and needed!!
I bought this tablet for my 4 year old and let me tell you why and how I came to this one: My husband gave my toddler his old Android Galaxy tablet a year ago and it has since died. It was a very old tablet but did what we needed it to do. When it died, I found an Amazon fire kids tablet, which was not what I expected at all and though there being lots of things for kids, there was very little parental control I actually had and we could not download the apps we wanted as it's all through Amazon. I then ordered an android kids tablet and I had it set to return within a few hours of opening it because of similar issues. We could download the apps we wanted but they were different- youtube kids for example. It did not allow us the option to log in to the account we already had and would not allow us the option to show only approved content. It was preloaded with "teacher approved" content for the age range. It had complete brain cells killing trash on it. I would block one channel and 5 more would pop up. The layout and format of the android kids tablet was also very different from the regular android tablets as well. It was at this point that I landed on this Galaxy Samsung tablet and I am SO happy with this purchase! It is everything we need and were looking for! The size is perfect, the picture quality is great, set up was a breeze, it connected to wifi and Bluetooth headphones easily and quickly and the sound is great too! It has a fast speed and it all works great. It doesn't get hot and it doesn't ever freeze! The price is super reasonable too, especially for what you are getting. Bonus to this tablet and what makes it great for my son is that I can hide all the apps and basically everything on the tablet that I don't want my son messing with. I can make it to where the ONLY things he can get into or have access to are the hand selected apps of my choosing. I was able to log into kids youtube and log in with the same login we have on our TV and other devices so that saved time and allowed for my son to only see the content that I approved for him to watch. I was able to download a bunch of the completely free and add free learning apps (lucas and friends) and he can have the fun of screen time all while it being all learning- ABCs, numbers, learning how to spell, how to write, easy math, puzzles, etc. I wish I could go back in time and start with this tablet instead of wasting my time with the other two I tried out. If anything happens to this one, I will definitely be buying again and recommending this tablet to my SIL for my nephew. I can also use this for myself as well. I bought the following kid proof case and it fits this tablet like a glove and will help protect it from my 4 year old dropping it. It has the front screen protector on it as well which will help shield the tablet from getting wet too if spilled on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CLYCJZTH?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Check out the Samsung A9 Plus, 11 inch screen & 128GB
I think the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is an awesome tablet! It has a big 11-inch screen, so everything looks big, bright, and easy to see. Watching videos and playing games feels great because the image looks smooth and clear. This tablet is also fast, so apps open quickly and don’t get stuck. That means you can play games, watch YouTube, or do homework without getting frustrated. It even has lots of space (128GB), so you can save tons of games, pictures, and videos without running out of room. Another great thing is the battery, it lasts a long time, so you can use it all day without needing to charge it. It also has good speakers, so movies and music sound great. I especially like the fact that it’s easy to use. Even if you’ve never used a tablet before, you can figure this one out quickly. It’s great for school, fun, and even talking to friends or family. In short: The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is a fun, fast, and easy tablet that’s perfect for kids, students, and families. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars!

My Sumsung has failed me...
Bought this tablet Oct 2025. (note: it is Aug of 2026 now). My battery has died. Not "rechargeable" died, but "died died". Kaput. RIP I have done every hack and trick and attempt I can find online and it will not boot up. It was a nice tablet for 10 months, but that's not what I expected out of a Samsung product; even in this price range. IF I buy again, I will be sure to get the extended warranty IF it will cover the battery. I just didn't expect to need it as Samsung has been my "go to" for a long time. Disappointed to say the least. I'm too old to be figuring out new tablets and how to get my "stuff" from one to the other! I bought a 2nd one at the same time for my husband and it's going strong...so far.
