Perfect fit
This was exactly what I needed for my desk. I purchased a used desk and one of these inserts was missing. I was thrilled that I could order one from Amazon. It took a while to get it but well worth it.

Good quality, perfect snug fit for 3" hole
I had a custom cabinet made of 3/4" plywood, in which I needed to install a cooling fan. I made a 3" hole using a hole saw to fit the fan, then ordered this grommet to clean up the appearance. It is a perfect fit - it's snug and I had to press a little firmly to get the grommet fully seated in the hole. I was worried about a loose fit and the grommet rattling or vibrating, but it is snug and doesn't vibrate at all. The plastic felt heavy and sturdy, not cheap and flimsy like some others. I think a flimsy or brittle one might have cracked when firmly pressed into the hole. Highly recommended for the quality materials and perfect fit for a standard hole size.

These are designed as two separate parts.
I almost returned these due to a previous post saying they are not two pieces as would be expected. Upon further investigation I realized they were shipped connected and just needed to pull them apart as I was able to do while still in the bag. Phew!

They fit in a 3” hole as described, but aesthetically don’t look as professional as its metal equivalent.

This was to fill a 3 inch pre cut hole in a stereo cabinet back, for the wires to go through, it comes in 2 parts and is well made and strong, a good buy, not able to get from a UK supplier.
