A great rack case at excellent price point
This case is used for a portable PA system for my shows. I like the overall look of this case, and it does come with a good supply of rack screws and washers. I also like that there are rack rails in both the front AND back of the case, very handy for adding rear supports to heavier gear like amplifiers. (I'm using a QSC CX model that doesn't need the extra support.) I also like the use of seals in the front and back covers, those will help to keep dust and moisture out. Minor quibbles: The rack rails are not aligned well, only off by a little but still work. Some gear with tighter tolerance in the rack ear screw holes may not want to sit perfectly level in that case. My amp and mixer were able to be set level though. The latches are a bit fussy to engage, but seem of good quality. Time will tell how they really hold up. This case is a lot less expensive than a comparable SKB case, but overall seems as though it will be just as durable. Overall a great value and good investment to protect your gear.

An Absolute Beast
I used this as an IEM rack case for my band for 3 years of gigging. I had the whole thing fully utilized. The case itself is pretty hefty on its own. Due to the weight of the case we were often dropping it at a 6in to 1ft height every time we put it down, which doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up over time. Also due to the weight, the handles do flex, but we have four of these rack cases for my main job and that has never happened before, so its probably from overloading it with too much weight. All in all, every one of these cases that I, my band, or my co-workers touch gets absolutely abused and every single one of them is still sturdy and stable years later.

First case defective (returned) Replacement case awesome (will keep forever)
The first case that I received in the mail was warped. The lids did not fit snug and could be moved around. The latches for the lids were also not put on square with edges. I spoke with a customer service rep at Gator cases and said that this was clearly a defective case and that issue should not be happening. I returned it through Amazon, which was a very simple process. Two days later I received my new case and it is exactly what I was looking for. The lids fit snugly and this case is clearly built to last. Two sets of screws were included inside of the case. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a small amount of plastic shavings inside of the case from when it was removed from the mold during production. This is quickly remedied with 30 seconds of your time and vacuum. My gear (power conditioner, bass head, compressor, and 2u drawer) fits perfectly into the case. Plenty of space inside of this unit for cable storage, etc. Very happy I sent the initial unit back and received a new case. Would recommend to anyone looking for a secure place to house their gear.

Decent "affordable" case
This case should work for what I will be using it for which is mostly a mostly garage band type of setting with occasional light to medium road usage. If I were a regularly gigging musician or sound tech and packed this around often or crammed into a cargo area with stuff thrown over it...this isn't the case I would want. It isn't terribly rigid or reinforced. I do like the latches and at the time of my purchase it is reasonably priced considering what molded rack cases go for. If I had it to do over, I would order one that isn't so deep, this one is almost twice as deep as what I require but that is simply due to the particular items I have mounted in it and not realizing my needs at the time of purchase. One thing I didn't expect was the sheer size of this case. It is about the size of a full-size piece of luggage but fatter. This is a decent case, but I don't think I would consider it truly road worthy if "stress tested".

Goodnuff
Gator is a good company. Iโve never had an injection mold case before. Always used the standard steel-n-wood heavy cases. So even though these are much lighter, they seem to be as strong. A possible weak point might be the clasps time will tell. I do like the handles molded with the case. They have a bigger grasp. As with all cases, the front and back are agnostic, so I attach their rear cover upside down. I have purchased two of these to house amps for monitor wedges for live sound work. One of the amps is definitely bigger and heavier than the other and so far the case seems to be holding up just fine. they do have some oily residue inside and a nasty smell when you first open them up but airing them out and wiping them down should solve those issues for you. I do like the fact there are plenty of screws provided with the cases.

Exactly as described. Great Case for light travel
Exactly as described. Its light, flexible but not flimsy. I WOULD NOT FLY WITH THIS. But perfect for lighter travel and studio or band room use. Everything fit great. It came with screws that did not strip
