As soon as this product got here I went out and tested on my 118 lb black german sheppard. The brush works as stated in the sale pitch. It was taking big chunks of the under coat off and cleaning with a simple swap across the face after you retracted the teeth. Great product.

The pets love this, from our 40lb dog to our 18lb cat (both short-hairs) they LOVE this - our cat even comes running when he hears it click, he demands grooming like a princess lol The wide paddle (the brush itself is just over 3" round) is perfect for mid-size & larger dogs The bristles are metal wire that resist bending/breaking quite well The engagement button works great and fells confident Strokes great both directions, the bristles are directional which can comb more aggressively if you need - we constantly alternate between each When you retract the bristles the hair doesn't follow them down into the slots no matter how much hair you gather. The plastic it's made out of has a natural static charge that prevents hair from sticking to it so it's always perfectly clean and releases hairs in big clumps. GREAT brush for any pet

This is such a nice brush. I use it on my King Charles Cavalier and it smooths out her ears nicely. It’s strong enough to pull the tangles out, but the dulled teeth make it comfortable as well. This brush is great for detangling any matted hair or fur and is super easy to clean. The size is just right for my hand and it keeps brushing a cleaner ordeal than I have experienced. It seems to be good for dogs with thick bristles like hair or dogs with smooth, soft hair like my Shih Tzu. I would recommend this brush ten million times over. Now if only my dogs wouldn’t look at me like I was punishing them for living.

I bought this slicker brush for my Great Pyrenees puppy who has a long, thick white coat that tends to get matted. My vet recommended trying a slicker brush, so I decided to give this one a try. The brush works exactly as described and the self-cleaning feature is really convenient. It removes loose hair from the top coat and the button makes it easy to push the hair off the brush when you’re finished. The handle is comfortable to hold and it seems well made overall. That said, I’m not completely obsessed with it for my particular dog. When my puppy has thicker mats, it can be difficult to move the brush smoothly down her spine. It works best when her coat is already mostly detangled. For comparison, I’ve used the FURminator Short Hair Dog Deshedding Tool on our German Shepherd, and those results were more dramatic because that tool pulls a lot from the undercoat. From my understanding, this slicker brush mainly works on the top coat, so it doesn’t really get into the under layer the same way. Overall, I still think this is a good brush for regular grooming and keeping the top coat maintained. If your dog has a lot of heavy mats, though, you may need another grooming tool to help with deeper tangles.

This brush works very well on my dogs coat. I tried it because I was sick of cleaning the hair out of brushes. It’s awesome to just retract the bristles, swipe my fingers across it, and be done. I’ve dropped it a couple times, and it still works like new. It’s a great travel brush too, easier to pack with the bristles retracted. The handle fits in my hand nicely, and I appreciate that as well.

This works great. Brush a husky and a husky mix. So easy to clean and the dogs enjoy it. Pulls alot of fur without hurting the dog. Helps with the blowout.

This is a really cool slicker brush. Then bristles can be retracted into the brush for storage. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy on both the coats of my field golden & my show golden. Bristles feel soft to the touch. My Goldens love this brush & so do I. Extremely happy with this purchase. Definitely worth it.

This is a good and easy to use brush. I have a black lab and it works pretty well for his hair. I am rating it 4 stars out of 5 because the bristles are hard. It is easy to discard of the hair removed, with just pushing the button.
