We purchased the dark wood color Acacia version of this knife block and could not be happier with what we got. I realize that this is a natural product and every item with be slightly different but my spouse and I are very happy with the beauty and quality of the woodworking. Functionally, it works just great and has a very large surface area to hold all of our knives that we intended to use with it. As a bonus, the vertical orientation of the block allows for ample space while not taking up a ton of real estate on our counter area. If this knife block were for sale at a local craft fair, we would expect it to be triple the price compared to what we got it for. We are honestly shocked at what a great value this is. This is a great alternative to dedicated knife blocks that only fit the knives that come with it. I have a variety of knives, and they don't fit into my knife set block. This lets you put the knives you use most often on the front, and the ones you use less frequently on the back or either side on the inside of the compartments. Also lets you attach your kitchen shears and other metal utensils. This block is a great size and accommodates a lot of knives and utensils. Great looking wood finish. Highly recommended!
