Good little board.
First ESP8266 D1 V4, I used the D1 clone, worked great. The second board would not show anything in terminal window. Changed to D1 R1 and it fired right up. Easily soldered and in paired with an SHT31-D for use on Node-red and MQTT for a temperature/Humidity dashboard for warehouses.

Hard to justify ESP01 when these are so inexpensive
Using these with ESPHome, because it's just so stupidly easy and flexible even if you don't use HomeAssistant. These D1's are so much more flexible with the pinouts, and direct USB-C power, reset, etc. I have tons of ESP01's, but unless I want the smallest format possible or have a workflow for them with a pre-printed circuit board; these D1 mini's are just so much nicer to work with. With a few minutes, and the price of a coffee and doughnut, you can automate, switch, sense just about anything, without needing much extra kit beyond a soldering iron and some wire. The D1 Mini are the perfect fit between small and featured. I rarely need more pinouts than these provide, and they're good for controlling a few things while driving a little OLED as well. Haven't had any issues, other than trying to write at 460800 baud I had some write failures, but no failures dropping back down to 115200. No bricking. I have not tried running these on battery with deep sleep, but I like that this version includes dedicated pins. On the list to try, wasn't a deciding factor.

Less then $3 per computer with variouis connector, great deal!
Great deal. 10 computers with wifi for under $30. They come with male, female and dual pin connectors. They run a little slow but will do for about any IoT project. Useful labeling too, don't have to look up which pins for SCL, SDA, MISO, MOSI, ... Thoughtfully designed.

Different Models Received in Pack, only 4 of 10 worked
Don't buy. I received a mix of 2 types of boards. Could not program the ones with the silver case (on Left in picture - 4 of the 10 I got). Price sounded good, but not worth the waste of time trying to troubleshoot. (Tried grounding GPIO 0, and all other things). Tried with Windows 11. I haven't tested the sleep function with the ones that I could program. UPDATE: I did one more Google search after my initial review... I was able to get the 4 working by installing an older version of the CH340/CH341 USB driver on Windows (Windows 11). THEY WORK IF YOU USE VERSION 3.5 OF THE CH341SER driver. I left this as a 1-star rating so people might find this comment better. It would help if the seller made this clear!

These are good, no diode on the usb though.
These have worked well so far, havnt had any problems with any of them. Do note that the 4.0.0 do not have diodes on the usb power, so plugging them in to usb AND 5v is a recipe for trouble. Otherwise, I like them, usb C is much less finicky and more durable than the old micro.

Consistent quality
Every single one of these boards are working in perfect order. I was able to program all of them with no problems out of the box. I'm very glad someone made a USB-c version of the generic 8266 board.

Works properly
This d1 mini is the same form factor as others that I have used. However, the components on the board appear to be substantially different. They even differ from the pictures posted with the listing. I have flashed one with Tasmota and have confirmed that it functions with a DS18B20 thermocouple. All appears to be functioning properly...

No driver issues, and comes with a good variety of pins
I bought these because a different seller sold me some that used a cheap serial chip. I have not had any problem with these, using standard CH340G drivers. They work perfectly with esphome and the pin labels on the PCB are very clean and readable.
