IR Blaster Universal Remote Controller for iOS & Android Phone

Let me preface this review by saying that your experience is going to largely depend on what you are hoping to do with this gadget. If you are looking to replace a remote for one of your TVs (or just eliminate it), then this is the product for you. Setup is brain-dead simple. Plug in the dongle, download the app, point at TV and follow the instructions. It will walk you through configuration and when you are done, you have a working remote. Now, for me, I had a slightly different need - I was recently in the hospital and the room TV popped up the LG setup screen. The hospital remote was not able to address this - you needed a real LG remote to clear this screen. I would have liked to whip out this dongle and take care of my problem, but I couldn't because I had not set up an LG TV in the app yet. So, the lesson I learned is that if I want to be able to control many different TVs in different places, I should do the legwork and set up various TVs in the app database beforehand. Either way, this device is worth the cost and I highly recommend it.

Didn’t expect much from something this small, but it’s actually been very reliable as a universal remote. Setup was straightforward. The app walks you through everything and pairing devices was faster than expected. I had it controlling two TVs, a mini split, and an electric fireplace heater within minutes without needing to dig through manuals or codes. Signal strength is solid for a single room. I’ve been able to control everything from across the space without issues, and it hasn’t randomly dropped connections or needed constant re-pairing. Only thing I couldn’t get working was my Amazon Fire Cube. Tried multiple times and different approaches in the app but no luck there. Everything else connected without a problem, so it seems more like a device-specific limitation than a general issue. For the size and price, it’s a really useful little tool if you want to consolidate remotes, especially for TVs and AC units.

This little device is a gem. I plugged it into my phone and I immediately started looking for the codes for my particular brand and long behold.It worked flawlessly.Now, I am in complete comfort thanks to this little thing

This only works with the app that is advertised in the manual. Other IR apps will not detect the device. The interface on the app for setting up your virtual remote involves trial and error with random commands until a match is found. You cannot search by model number, which is unfortunate. To control my TV, I have to use a couple different virtual remotes and the buttons don't do exactly what the command says. If you're lucky, they might have a configuration that actually matches your device. Just bear in mind that your limited to their database because something is blocking connection to other IR remote apps.

So far it works as advertised but it changed my AC in a weird way. I had to remove the AC from my phone and reinstall it from the manufacturer app.

Doesn't work for s25 ultra

Excelente adaptador control remoto Tipo C para Android. Lo he probado en varios dispositivos y ha funcionado perfectamente desde el primer momento. Su conexión es rápida, la respuesta de los botones es precisa y su tamaño compacto lo hace muy práctico para llevar a cualquier parte. Hasta ahora, ha superado mis expectativas y lo recomiendo totalmente.

i mean it works for the most part... the ir learning or ir recording thing to learn remotes doesn't work much I've tried 4 devices not listed in the lists and pressing the remote and just keeps failing... id recommend only buying if your trying to control bigger named products or more well known brands... I mainly wanted this to do away with all the remotes I have and sucks that I can't do that now cuz it won't work

MSCベリッシマで部屋に備え付けのテレビ(SAMSUNG製)のHDMI端子を使うため 試しに買ってみました(備え付けのリモコンは入力切替が無効にされてるぽい) 結論から申し上げますと入力切替できHDMI端子に接続したNintendoSwitchで プレイできました。 ちなみにスマホはiPhone16Pro.です。
