The Cartoon Guide to Geometry

Last of Larry Gonick opus to date, the Cartoon Guide to Geometry. This cartoon guide features the same qualities as the other mathematical cartoon guide by the same author. It is at the same time very precise and rigorous, with actual definitions, theorems, and proofs, and delightful, pleasant, and even some times fun. It contains true geometry, and it offers it to just curious readers. It is the contrary to "Let no one ignorant of geometry enter"! It is "Enter, non-geometer, I will do my best to explain you!". It covers lines and segments, lengths and angles, triangles and polygons. It also covers enough formal logic to conduct all the proofs in the most clear and rigorous way. I recommend it, for pupils and teachers, for curious people, for pure pleasure.

If your kids like graphic novels and need a new approach to learning math all the books in this series are great. It’s a fun refresher from me trying to teach or paying for a tutor. Gives a 2d and 3d way for a brain to comprehend.

This was approved by my math department. Everything is well explained with comics. We wished that these were around when we were in college. It covers so many issues that kids tend to stumble on. Great resource!
