My old Philips 3000 body groomer finally died so I upgraded to this newly designed 5000 series. It looks modern and everything has been revamped, from combs to cutting head. But does it do the job? Absolutely, there is more power available and the new design means you can get into the awkward nooks and crannies without problems and also without any nicks or cuts. It does an effortless job of deforestation and leaves a tidy, uniform growth depending on your preference for comb size. The 5000 series is only another £10 more than the 3000 series and for your money you get a longer battery life, more combs and a soft plastic pouch to keep everything together, well worth the little bit extra. Over the years I have tried most brands of bodygroomers but Philips always gives me the best results, I would highly recommend this model.

Works well on arms, legs, chest, back etc. decent battery run time and ability to charge from a USB charger is a winner.

Really impressed with the Philips Body Groomer 5000 Series so far. It’s easy to use, comfortable on sensitive skin, and gives a smooth trim without cuts or irritation. Battery life is solid and the waterproof design makes cleaning super convenient. Great value for the price!

Battery died on last one, replaced it with this. Some design changes, but does the same job. Selection of guards for different beard trim lengths and the foil allows to go close on the neck

There's no doubt that this is very 'safe', they've done a good job of ensuring that you're relatively safe from chafing or pinching of skin. But unfortunately that means that the trade off is that it simply doesn't shave that well, especially if you're not fairly meticulous about ensuring that you're always shaving 'against' the hair direction so that it can scoop underneath the hairs properly. It can be a slightly frustrating experience. I also found that on occasion it would pull/yank the hair rather than cutting it, which was a bit painful. Overall I think the value is reasonable for the product, and its fairly ergonomic to hold and well made, but just not the best tool for the job. Final note - It doesn't come with a plug adapter for the charger so bear that in mind.

A good product for ‘smoothies’ which lasts more than long enough for a complete job . Not the closest of shaves . Fast recharge via USB , a very big improvement on previous version which used a mains charger .

Charge lasts a long time, works great in the shower.

Ero davvero molto molto titubante.. erano anni che mi radevo il pube e i genitali con un rasoio da barba ed era un disastro.. Nelle spiegazioni di questo rasoio c'è scritto che nn ci si deve aspettare una rasatura come da lametta.. bè secondo è esattamente come da lametta ma senza irritazione.. bisogna leggere le istruzioni e trovare la giusta angolazione per fare lavorare bene la testina (Altrimenti strappa i peli e dopo fa male) e passarci con calma affinchè possa fare il suo lavoro ma il risultato è a dir poco sensazionale e senza nessuna problematica. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!! Ovviamente se si ha il pelo medio lungo, prima va accorciato con i distanziatori di cui il prodotto è fornito, poi fatta la rasatura a pelle.. non rimmarrete delusi, ve lo garantisco!!
