Excellent Protection for My Pool Pump
I purchased the RunNico Pool Pump Cover to protect my 1 HP Swimline HydroTools above-ground pool pump system from the elements, and it has been a great addition to my setup. Before buying this cover, I was actually using a cardboard Amazon box to shield the pump from direct sunlight. While it worked as a temporary solution, it looked terrible, didn’t hold up well to the weather, and offered very little real protection. The RunNico cover was a huge upgrade. It was easy to assemble, fit perfectly around my Swimline HydroTools pump setup, and provides much better protection while still allowing proper airflow to the motor. I like that it’s specifically designed for pool pumps rather than having to improvise with a cardboard box. It also gives my pool equipment area a much cleaner and more professional appearance. If you’re using a Swimline HydroTools pump or a similar above-ground pool pump system and are still relying on a makeshift cover like I was, this is a worthwhile investment. It looks great, protects your equipment, and makes the entire pool setup look much more professional. Highly recommended!

Doing its thing.
RunNico Pool Pump Covers for Outside Units - ABS Adjustable Pool Pump Motor Cover - Swimming Pool Motor Cover. I ordered this product to cover two of these motors --> A.O. Smith B2853 1 HP, 3450 RPM, 1 Speed, 230/115 Volts, 6.6/13.2 Amps, 1.25 Service Factor, 56Y Frame, PSC, ODP Enclosure, Square Flange Pool Motor. Both of these motors are on Pentair whisperflo pumps. I'm getting this detailed because if you have this same configuration you may not like these covers. As designed and instructed these covers did not fit my motors as they are too big for these covers. I made the covers work by eliminating the motor clamps and just resting them on top of the motors. You'll see in the attached photo that my motors are quite close to one another as well as to the Pentair Sand Filter and a cement block property wall so I have no concerns about these covers blowing away. The electrical conduit fitting diameter is very close to the width of the cover's knockout so the fit is snug and serves as 'sort of' an anchor. The extent of the contact on the top of the motor is a bit of the arch on the capacitor cover. I have read other reviewers complaints about removing the knockout for an electrical connection that should be addressed. Firstly do a dry fit of the loose parts around your motor before assembling anything and decide which knockout you need to remove and mark it so you don't forget. DO NOT assemble the parts before attempting to remove the knockout. Place the cover side on a piece of wood or some other sacrificial flat surface outside face down. Using a utility knife with a fresh blade and some patience, lightly score the outline of the knockout several times. You'll be able to see some thicker spots needing focused cutting but go easy. Heavy cuts will wander away from the outline and are a needless personal risk. Soon you'll see the knockout begin to loosen and become easily removable. You don't need dremel tools or multi-tools or grinders. Don't overthink it. I have also read complaints about how difficult it is to slide the sides on to the cover top. I can appreciate this. It is tight. I applied some Hi-Temp red grease to the ridge along the edge of the side pieces and to the contact spots on the top they go in to. If you don't have fancy grease you can probably accomplish the same thing with the silicone lubricant you use on pool parts like O-Rings or just some vaseline. I was able to push the sides into the top about 3/4's of the way manually. I finished up using a few taps with the rubber mallet I use to remove and reinstall my pump covers. I won't go into how to install the motor clamps as I didn't use them. I will address another review complaint I saw citing the fact that the cover wasn't large enough to cover the motor and the pump. Yes the description is a bit misleading. It does begin with "Pool Pump Cover..." before it goes on to say "Pool Pump Motor Cover." It is a MOTOR COVER not a pump cover. That should have been represented more clearly. The pump is full of water so it should be fine without a cover. Again, if you have the same configuration as mine and you have your heart set on using the motor clamps, this cover is likely not for you. I'm content with the covers resting on the motors and believe it will make servicing easier. I'm keeping them. Regardless of where you intend to use it and on on what you intend to use it, consider carefully the dimensions of the product. 13.4"L x 8.9"W

RunNico Pool Pump Covers for Outside Units - ABS Adjustable Pool Pump Motor Cover
I have been using these covers for many years and work great. Easy to assemble and very light weight. Ventilation is good from all sides. Its not super sturdy so if something heavy falls on it there is a chance it can break. Great value for the money and size is just right.

Plastic, not easy to assemble, disappointing.
Be aware that this item is made of plastic. It is much flimsier than expected. It is not easy to assemble - part of the assembly includes using a "sharp pointed knife" to carve out a cutout for the electrical connection - this is difficult to do. The plastic pieces that are supposed to support the pump cover easily pop out of their connections.

Good Product!
This product is not what we were expecting, but it still is a good product. A little flimsy and did not last as long as we had hoped through the hot summer. On the other hand, it did keep the sun off so that was great!

A Lifesaver for My Pump (and My Sanity)!
The RunNico Pool Pump Cover has turned out to be the unsung hero of my backyard oasis. Before getting this cover, my poor pump sounded like it was auditioning for a heavy metal band. Every time it kicked on, it was like, “Here comes the noise train!” But with this cover? Silence. Sweet, glorious silence. Design & Functionality: First off, the design is sleek and simple—not one of those clunky covers that make your yard look like a science experiment. It blends nicely, and the material feels sturdy enough to survive hurricanes and toddlers alike. (I can confirm it already survived a neighbor’s kid trying to sit on it during a BBQ.) Performance: This thing is vented perfectly, so the pump doesn’t overheat, which was my biggest concern. It also blocks out rain, dust, and random debris that usually finds a way into everything I own outdoors. No more worrying about stray leaves trying to sabotage my pump! Bonus Perks: The best part? It dramatically reduces noise! Now my pump hums quietly in the background instead of competing with my playlist for attention. It's like going from a nightclub to a relaxing spa—pure peace. Also, the installation took me about 10 minutes, which made me feel way more competent than I probably am. Verdict: If you want your pump to live longer, work better, and stay quiet (so you don’t lose your mind), the RunNico Pool Pump Cover is a no-brainer. It's like giving your pump a vacation home—and honestly, it deserves it after all the hard work it does. 5/5 stars, highly recommend! Now all I need is a cover for my neighbor’s loud lawnmower... 🌴😅

Heavy material than other brands.
Sides are very tight to slide into top, used some silicone to help. Won’t come apart very easily once assembled! Heavier than I thought would be and motor brackets should work well!

Terrible quality
Quality is terrible, one piece has a hole in it the other is covered in scratched from someone trying to scrape off areas. These look like defective pieces, that they put in a kit

Side wall plastic tab are brittle and broke off
Side wall tabs where the clamp inserts go are are brittle and broke off. The roof and side wall seems alright. Hopefully it works OK even with out using broken plastic side wall tab. I even cut the triangle inserts which go into the side wall tabs. Set-up seems working fine and clamps are sitting well on the pump. Only other issue is cut out for pump wire doesnot match my pump, so wire pushes side wall out a bit. Hope set-up lasts for few yrs atheist.
