The birth partner , education
The Birth Partner is an excellent resource for anyone looking to educate themselves about childbirth and how to effectively support a birthing mother. It’s incredibly valuable not only for individuals—such as partners or family members—but also for groups like doulas or birth support professionals

Every expecting parent needs!
Doula student here, another great invaluable resource. It covers how the birthing mama feels, what the the birth partner can do, what a doctor or midwife will do and what a doula will offer. An incredible resource.

Corrupted by ideology
Ideologically captured. Try an older version or a different source. One of many examples: page 65. “However, today we know that the many preterm births are actually caused by racism: not race, but racism.”

Not recommended
Not suitable for Kindle. It is not easy to navigate through the pages and reference in Kindle. The content is too overwhelming and technical for newly parents.

Tainted by ideology
I bought the book to help me understand and support my wife during childbirth, but i found the repeated use of terms like “birthing person”, “pregnant person”, "chest feeding", concerning in a book about motherhood. The authors avoidance of straightforward biological language in a medical context has made me question their priorities, and the reliability of the information and guidance provided. This undermined my confidence in the books credibility, and I'm now seeking a refund.
