This is a part of a fluorescent light that you know how good it works the moment you put it in the receptor of the light that doesn't work. In my case, I had replaced the fluroescent light some few weeks ago and, in short order, it went out again. So I took out the old starter and replaced it with a new one. Worked like a charm. I chose the GE starter pak--you get 2 starters. I have only one light, under the kitchen hood, that uses this starter(FS-2) so I didn't need a bigger pack of the product. It was the best value on the site and the starters are easy to install. Fit's in the port like a glove--and think I'm set for some years now with a light that works.

My daughter found an old outdoor Pepsi clock sign at an estate sale, bought it, and gave it to me for Christmas. She said, "We plugged it in and got nothing." With a little tightening of the clock hands, it started keeping perfect time. Knowing that at least one electrical component was getting power and functioning properly, I decided to open it up and take a look at the light. I found an old-school fluorescent ballast with a GE F14T12/CW 14-watt tube. The first thing I noticed was the missing ballast starter. Based on the wattage of the installed bulb I ordered these starters. The light fired up immediately after plugging it in. Super stoked my Pepsi clock works, and I hope you enjoyed the story! :)

Was unable to find this part locally as it was discontinued, so I was grateful to find it on Amazon. Worked great on my 1994 arcade machine. My fluorescent tube fired right up!
