Very nice variety of colors and the added in paint thinner and acrylic cleaner is nice. Sticks well to plastic figures except need varnish. Doesn’t leak or drip off material and so far seems resilient to any type if scratching with matte acrylic varnish

I think these are solid paints. They come out of the bottle with a smooth consistency and don't really need any thinning. They have good coverage, and there's a decent amount of colors for a basic set. The set doesn't have metallics, so you might want to pick up the fantasy set if you want those as well. All in all I have to say I look forward to using these paints, and think they're great value for the pricepoint.

I've been painting miniatures for a little over a year now, I started with citadel paints and moved to Vallejo, and Army Painter. While each of those brands have their own pluses and minuses I feel that this particular set for the value was the best bet. The fact that it includes a thinner as well as a brush cleaner medium was a surprise to me. I was searching for a new set of paints with a varied color palette that wouldn't break my bank at this moment. There are some really good high cost high quality paint sets I would love to try, but like I said with a year of experience in it and I can definitely see that these are a nice clean vibrant quality. Using the thinning medium has changed the way I paint completely. Prior to that I was using water and thinned out paints and using multiple layers while I still use the multiple layer approach it is actually really well done using their included thinner. I'm very happy with this set and I'm looking at purchasing and expanded color line soon Great job.

This was a gift for my husband. He customize Hotwheels. At first, he hesitated a little but one he tried them, he changed his mind. The size, thickness and level of adhesion are just right.

This makes a great entry point for people starting out with miniature painting. I bought this as a gift for my nephew and they’re working great for him. Most sets like this cost 2-3x as much so this is a no brainer for someone wanting to get started without breaking the bank.

So, for a beginner, which I am, not too bad. Let's talk about the main issue. There is too much chalk in these paints. Brush strokes can become part of the art, but tiny sand sized pieces of chalk make a model look like sandpaper. I put way too much time into making the parts perfect, and the paint makes them look like I threw them wet into a sand dune.
