Good quality!
I ordered this chess board game for my 8-year-old niece as a birthday gift, and she absolutely loves it! From the moment we opened the box, everything was very easy to set up and use. The instructions were simple, which made it perfect for beginners and kids who are just starting to learn chess. What impressed us the most is the training mode. Since she is still a beginner, she has been practicing with the AI every day, and she keeps telling me how much she’s learning from it. It’s amazing how interactive and educational the game is. The AI helps her understand moves, strategy, and basic chess skills in a fun way without making it feel difficult or boring.Another feature we really love is the magnetic chess pieces. They stay in place very well, so she can easily carry the board from room to room or even bring it on trips without worrying about losing pieces or making a mess. The board size is also perfect. It’s not too big or too small, making it comfortable for kids to play. The quality feels great for the price, and it has become one of her favorite gifts. She has been playing almost every day since she got it. Overall, this was definitely a worthwhile purchase, especially for children who are interested in learning chess in a fun and modern way. Highly recommended!

nice chess
Unboxing the P6 Electronic Chess Computer feels like stepping into a more interactive way to master the game. At roughly 12.6 inches, it’s a compact powerhouse that strikes a nice balance between portability and playability. While the 8.8-inch game area is a bit smaller than a tournament board, the strong magnetic adsorption is a lifesaver—it keeps the game intact whether you're playing on a bumpy train or just moving from the couch to the table. The standout experience is the Training Mode. With its combination of light prompts and voice announcements, it removes the intimidation factor for beginners. Having 200 built-in puzzles and a hint button (?) makes it feel less like a cold machine and more like a patient tutor. For those looking to climb the ranks, the 18 difficulty levels (scaling up to 1700 ELO) provide a legitimate challenge for intermediate players without being impossible to beat. The inclusion of extra queens and a dedicated rechargeable cable shows a thoughtful design for long-term use. Whether you’re using the "Human" mode for a classic two-player match or grinding against the AI to sharpen your skills, this board turns a solitary hobby into a smart, guided journey. It’s a solid, travel-friendly companion for anyone looking to ditch the screen and get back to the physical board.Would you like me to draft a quick "Quick Start Guide" based on these specs to help you get playing faster?

Must buy
I’m really happy with this chess board! The quality exceeded my expectations for the price. The board is sturdy, the pieces are well-made, and everything feels durable. The pieces are easy to distinguish, and they stay nicely in place while playing. It looks great on a table and is perfect for both beginners and experienced players. It also makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys chess. Overall, this was a great purchase, and I would definitely recommend it!

A few potential changes could make it better
Theres a few things that make this product a bit obtuse. First and foremost is when youre playing match mode, a bright blue light keeps flashing. Trying to concentrate, i have no idea why anyone thought this was a good idea..Second off, the pieces (namely bishop and pawn) look too similar. With the modeling they use, a few times ive mistaken one for the other. Especially with glass pieces which are somewhat seethrough.Made a mistake? Sometimes the game makes a mistake for you and forces you to move to a spot you didnt want. Not in a check mate kind of way, but it somewhat glitches out. Happened to me twice in 4 games. You may think hitting the button that goes back to the previous move is the answer, but youd be wrong! Trying to use the back button is a nightmare. Constantly blurting the "err-err" as youve pressed a button that wont let you do what you want.As well, trying to choose a difficulty level is ridiculous. Instead of saying "level 1... level 2" which the manual tells you the ELO rating for those, or displaying highlighted squares for you to see "okay 3 squares, level 3" it kind of does this but level 10 youll have squares all over the board, sometimes under pieces. Its making choosing a level more difficult than it needs to be.The size is a bit big for carry. I get it, its a computer, so I cant complain there. But it feels like if I put it in my bag to take anywhere and its not in its way-too-oversized box then itll get crushed. Thats just the feel, mind you. It might actually be very sturdy.Unfortunately i reeaaally wanted to like this board but im having a hard time. On the plus side its a usb charging so theres that. And its a chess board so there's kudos. The board certainly will take you to 1700 ELO. The difficulty level is no joke! But its so uncomfortable to play that its just not great yet.The company did reply back to me and so I am updating the review. I appreciate food customer service and they definitely are prompt.

(Updated) Strong chess computer with helpful features.
I purchased this as I already have a Chessnut Air board but wanted to not have to use my phone when playing and just wanted an offline experience. I’m enjoying this board so far! The computer is strong and I haven’t tried it at its highest levels yet. The illuminated squares are great for learning your potential moves and potential blunders. The take-back feature lets you go as far back as you’d like in a game. I will only likely be using train mode, match mode, and the puzzles in order to build up my middlegame and endgame.Castling and pawn promotion work well with this board and the set does include extra queens. If you accidentally knock a piece while moving another the computer will call say “move illegal” and the piece in question will remain illuminated until it is recentered on it’s square. There is a built-in rechargeable battery (Usb-C cable included) and I’ve played a bunch of games thus far and have not yet had to recharge it.Tip: I was a little confused on how to play as black against the AI, but after setting up the pieces (white still on the side of the main controls) you simply select the bidirectional arrow buttons and then the AI will make it’s move as white allowing you to play as black.UPDATE 9/25/25: I’ve had this chessboard for over a year now. It’s easy to use, lasts a ridiculously long time between charges, and the illuminated guidance for captures and optimal moves are very helpful for young learners. The higher levels are definitely challenging. I love that I can be in the middle of playing a game and turn off the unit to come back the following day and restart it and it continues the previous game. Also, I’ve seen a lot of variability in the openings that the computer uses which has been helpful in my trying new tactics. I love the fact that I can play without staring at my phone. Overall, I’ve been super satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect for him. He can stay there for hours with this chessboard. This would be a great gift for someone who likes Chess games. I would recommend it.

interesting game
This is a great piece of kit for learning and improving skills in Chess, in my case for my children who have taken a strong liking to the game. The board comes with various modes and two queens for both black and white sets which is a nice touch considering a lot of chess sets don't accomodate for this. The functions on the board can take a little bit of time to familiarise with but really adds to the game once understood.

Smart and Fun Chess Trainer
This electronic chess board is a solid choice for both beginners and casual players. The adjustable difficulty levels and training mode with hints make it easy to learn, and the puzzles are a nice bonus. The built-in AI is surprisingly smart, especially at higher levels, making it ideal for steady improvement. It’s also great for two-player games with my kids. Overall, a fun and educational product that feels worth the price.
