A Must Have Controller for My Avata 2 Fly More Set
I picked it up to use with my DJI Avata 2 Fly More set, and it turned out to be an outstanding controller. The feel is solid, the sticks are responsive, and pairing it with the Avata 2 and Goggles 3 was almost effortless. It supports the O4 transmission system, offers a wide range, and the battery lasts long enough for long flying sessions. The lighter weight helps when I am out practicing for a while. What I like most is the precision control. Whether I am flying smooth lines or pushing a little harder, it holds a steady connection and responds exactly the way I want it to. Pros: Excellent feel and control Long battery life Strong signal and stable connection Works well for both normal and advanced flying Cons: A bit much for casual users who never use Manual mode Slight learning curve if you are brand new to FPV Summary: For my Avata 2 setup this controller is a perfect match. It feels professional, performs consistently, and gives me the confidence to keep improving my flight skills. Five stars.

Solid Controller for Smooth Flying
The DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 feels well-built and responsive during use. The controls are precise, making it easier to fly the drone accurately, even for longer sessions. The battery lasts a good amount of time between charges. Pairing with the drone was simple, and there were no connection issues. The sticks are also easy to adjust to your preferred tension. Overall, it’s a dependable controller that does what it’s supposed to do without hassle. Build quality: Feels sturdy and comfortable in hand Battery life: Lasts several flights before needing a recharge. Ease of flight: Smooth, responsive controls make flying easier.

The Essential Upgrade for Manual FPV Performance
If you recently picked up a DJI Avata 2 or DJI Neo, you likely started with the Motion Controller. While that is fun for beginners, the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 is what you need to actually "unlock" the full potential of these drones. I use this primarily for freestyle and cinematic proximity flying where precise manual control is non-negotiable. Performance & Tech: O4 Transmission: The connection is rock solid. It uses the latest DJI O4 video transmission standard, providing better range and lower latency than the previous V2 controller. Manual Mode: This is the only way to fly in full Manual mode. The sticks are 2mm longer than the previous version, which sounds small but makes a huge difference for "pinchers" who want finer adjustments. Battery Life: One charge lasts about 10 hours. I can go through a dozen drone batteries at the field and never have to worry about the remote dying. Design & Ergonomics: Lighter & Leaner: It weighs only 240g, which is about 100g lighter than the Remote Controller 2. You really notice this during long sessions—no lanyard required to prevent hand fatigue. Integrated Antenna: There are no external antennas to flip up or break. The design is clean and fits easily into a standard tech pouch or backpack. Adjustable Sticks: It comes with a small screwdriver to adjust the stick tension. For Manual mode, you can easily remove the "spring-to-center" on the throttle for a true FPV feel. Pros: Compact & Portable: The smallest and most streamlined FPV remote DJI has made. Simulator Ready: Works natively with PC/Mac simulators like Liftoff and Uncrashed via USB-C for practice. Zero-Lag Control: Integrated O4 tech ensures your inputs are near-instant. Cons: Specific Compatibility: It does not work with older DJI FPV drones or the original Avata (O3 system). Linked Signal: Like all DJI systems, if you lose video signal in the goggles, you lose control link.

A MUST have if you're planning to get into the FPV world with Avata 2
A buy that you won't regret. Flying with the Motion controller that comes with the Avata 2 is a lot of fun, but once you try this... Oh man. Unlocks a whole new world of movements and adrenaline. Quick disclaimer: please get used to it by flying on a simulator first. Do not attempt to fly without at least 6-8 hours invested on a sim, it will save you from potentially lose your drone on a crash. Speaking of size, I really like the compact format that this radio has. I read somewhere that doesn't fit on the bag that comes with the Fly More Combo, but was not the case for me and I was able to store both Motion Controller and Radio Controller (as well as goggles, the drone itself and the 3 batteries with the charger). Ergonomics are good... This type of radios are meant to be used with a thumb-style grip, so if that is your case I guess you will find it very confortable. I'm a pinch-style pilot so I find the sticks a little bit short for my liking, but nothing that serious to be honest. If you're familiar with rates and expo you can adjust the responsiveness of the sticks and mitigate a bit that shortness (I think you can also buy and add an extension but I didn't). So yeah, I wish the sticks were a bit longer. I don't really know if this helps everyone, but I was amazed by how fast this product arrived to my home. From USA to Argentina in just 5 days (I'm usually waiting 20-30 days). A MUST have in my opinion if you're looking to get the real experience of flying FPV and get amazing shots.

Turned out to be the nicest FPV remote I own
It’s nice, but way overpriced considering it should’ve just came with the Avata II and shared its dark grey color. It’s also feels too light, oddly enough. The light feeling feels cheap in your hands at first, and you’d never think 230$ holding it. It seems half the weight of say a radiomaster pocket. Other than those things, it’s a great remote in every other way I could imagine. Its gimbles operate smooth as butter, its buttons feel great and have a consistent tactile depress. Every control is oriented in a natural feeling position and are easy to find and operate. I took it out of the box, turned it on, paired it in seconds and was using it. I haven’t had the slightest bit of trouble at any point out of it. It’s turned out to be the nicest fpv remote I personally have and I’ll likely use less ERLS controller drones and more PNP ones, just to use this avata remote and headset with more drones. Dji, thank you guys for transforming the world of drones! We need a fast dji fpv drone we can crash, fix and maintain ourselves. We need replaceable parts. A lot of your customers go from a Dji to a 5” quad. Why not retain the customers that never wanted to leave? Industry sure loves DJI!

Way Better Than Motion Controller!
Just got this DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 for my Avata and I’m really impressed. It’s super easy to use and way more precise than the motion controller. Feels more natural and traditional, and I think the range is even better. Build quality is excellent—feels solid in hand and very responsive with the drone. If you’re looking for more control and reliability, definitely recommend switching to this controller!

Solid but overpriced
There's nothing wrong with this controller, it's very nice. It's a bit simple compared to most RC radios you'll find, but the built quality is nice. The price though is HIGH! Super high. This is the most expensive radio I've ever seen that didn't come with metal gimbals and a full color touch screen. But it's DJI, so if you want to run FPV with an Avata or Neo, you need this. You don't have a choice in the matter. And it is a fine controller. No complains about the quality. My only issue, besides price, is that the battery bar is useless. It won't tell if it's changed or not. It just flashes all of the LED's. My advice is to leave it plugged into a USB charger for at least 2 or 3 hours, regardless of what those lights say. I have had it run out of juice even when all of those LED's flash, so they are meaningless. Just leave it on the charger, it'll be fine.

Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung!
