I originally thought these didn't work, but I was wrong - THEY DO WORK! I tried them with numerous cables, and I never got a signal. Was setting up a return of them and went looking for another brand of connector, which is when I found a fascinating video by that other brand (whose name is almost a Scottish pudding). In the video, it showed that if there was no signal when the USB-C cables are both plugged in, unplug one cable, rotate it by 180º, and plug it back in. Voila, it works! I had NO idea that there was a sided-ness to USB-C cables, but I sure understand it now in a very functional way. So, yeah, these connectors are pretty cool!

I bought this USB-C coupler to connect two shorter cables, and it has worked perfectly without any issues. The build quality feels very premium with its aluminum housing, and it is compact enough to carry anywhere.It handles fast charging perfectly and passes through video and data seamlessly with no noticeable drop in performance. I also really appreciate the built-in LED indicator that lets you know it’s actively working. If it doesn't work right away when you plug it in, just flip one of your cable connectors around—USB-C orientation can be finicky, but flipping it solves it instantly. Highly recommend this if you need a reliable, high-powered extension!

They work as intended, no connection drops or anything weird

Usable but not perfect, every 5 or so plug attempts don't register, at least the LED lets you know that the connection is good. I moved my new workstation under my desk and it only took me minutes to lose my patience bending down to reach a port to plug in a Yubikey ( https://www.amazon.com/Yubico-Two-factor-authentication-security-certified/dp/B08DHL1YDL/ ) or to swipe a CAC card ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JK8LQ4P/ ). I have two brand new cables I can use to basically extend these two ports to somewhere more convenient on my desktop, but then I get stuck with two male ports. These adapters were just right for the job. Like I said earlier, they do work, but it's sort of a coin toss because one in 5-6 plug attempts fails. And the price is right.

This coupler only works when the cable happens to be plugged in the "correct" orientation. Plug it in the other way and you get nothing. Flip one end, and suddenly it works. That is a fundamental failure of the product. USB-C is specifically engineered to be orientation-agnostic — a properly wired coupler handles orientation internally; this one doesn't. What you get instead is a coin flip every time you connect something, on a connector whose entire design purpose was to eliminate exactly that problem. A coupler has one job: pass the connection through transparently. This one fails that job unless you accommodate its wiring shortcut. If you only plan to plug something in once and never touch it again, you may never notice. For anything you connect and disconnect regularly, avoid.

These are really good for making 2 short lines into one longer line. I bought these because I changed my computer items around on my office desk and the shorter lines were no longer what I needed. Instead. of buying all new cords, I had a few other cords so I got these and connected a few and didn't have to buy new longer cords and not use what I already had. (Saved money)

I bought these specifically for use at work where I could plug in my charger and at the other side of the conference room still be able to charge my phone / laptop using the 2 x 2m USB c cables I already had in my bag. These are rated even higher than the 65W I need to charge my laptop and work perfectly

Power and data are flowing nicely. Can't give a comment on the data rate, since I'm not using powerful enough devices to check. Little led on both sides give a clear indication of power passing through. Seems it doesn't get hot, but again, I'm not using it at full capacity. Fit and finish is very nice looking, the cables are firmly attached and the metallic body is strong.
