What is the shape of the 9 X 7.2 X 4.5? it looks square but the dimensions are not accurate. thank you

Should these containers be washed before the first use?

I always quickly hand wash items items I purchase before putting food in them.

Covers are included, but they are not attached to the container.

Will spaghetti sauce stain the plastic?

I have used these for many years and I have never had them stain from anything. I freeze tomato sauce, corn, broth and soup in them. I really like these because they keep the frozen stuff very well. Hope that helps!
