UGREEN Steam Deck Dock, 9-in-1 USB C Docking Station Foldable Stand

I bought this dock for my Steam Deck so I could keep it on my desk connected to a gaming monitor, while also having a convenient place to drop it in and charge when it’s not in use. I’ve had a few UGREEN products before and have always found the build quality to be very good, so I hoped this would be a solid option at a lower price than the official dock. Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint. The dock looks great and feels sturdy, with a nice solid construction rather than cheap, flimsy plastic. It fits nicely into my desk setup and looks quite sleek. Setup was very straightforward. I used an HDMI cable I already owned to connect it to my monitor and it worked immediately. The dock charges the Steam Deck well and I’ve had no connection issues when using it. The Deck sits nicely in the dock and the overall design works well for a desk setup. When not in use, the stand folds down into a neat rectangular shape, which helps keep the desk looking tidy. It’s also quite versatile as the attached USB-C cable means it could easily be used as a charging dock for phones or other USB-C devices as well. Considering this costs roughly half the price of the official Steam Deck dock, I think it’s a great budget alternative that still feels well-made and reliable.

I tried several docks and tested all their speeds, ease of connectivity and output to TVs, Ethernet speeds, charging speeds, and overall features. This dock wins on all of those fronts and it also supports wireless peripherals and controllers on Android and SteamOS devices. The provided angled cable is nice, and the adjustable backrest is also useful I have seen some other docks come with an NVME slot inside. Would have been cool if it had that as well but overall this dock is the best quality/value you'll find on the market for any handheld. Official docks are pretty underwhelming compared to this one

Excellent product!! Still working solid and great choices of ports

​I have a gaming setup at home that is, frankly, rather absurd. I stream games from my high-end PC via Moonlight directly to my Steam Deck, which is then piped through this UGREEN dock into a massive 4K projector. It is an over-engineered marvel of modern entertainment that would make a NASA technician nod in quiet approval. And at the absolute center of this ridiculous operation sits this little 6-in-1 dock. ​Now, getting everything plugged into it is a bit of an ordeal. The ports are clustered together, and trying to wrestle all your high-end HDMI cables, power leads, and peripherals into their correct slots feels exactly like trying to pack an angry, wriggling octopus into a small string bag. It requires some proper physical effort and a fair amount of muttering under your breath. ​But once you tame the wires and get everything sorted... mother of God, it is an experience. ​The output is flawless. Watching PC games streamed across the house and blasted onto a giant projector screen via this dock is an absolute sight to behold. It doesn't stutter, it doesn't drop frames, and it handles the bandwidth with total ease. It is pure, unadulterated graphical glory. ​The unit itself is a lovely bit of kit. It’s made of proper, honest-to-God metal, giving it a sturdy, durable weight that means it won't slide off your desk the moment a cable nudges it. For the price, the value for money is exceptional. ​But where UGREEN has shown real genius is the connecting wire. On most cheap docks, the little cable that plugs into the top of your Steam Deck is permanently fused to the chassis. If that wire frays or breaks, your entire dock becomes completely useless. But on this one, it uses a separate mini-cable. If it breaks, you don't have to throw away the whole machine; you simply replace the cheap wire. It’s like being able to swap a worn-out tire instead of having to buy a whole new car. ​It is robust, it is brilliant, and the performance is spectacular. If you can handle a few minutes of cable wrestling, it is highly recommended.

Great bit of kit ideal for what's needed

Well worth the price and actually delivers on the advertised specs. Use this regularly to charge tablets, phones and all manner of devices. Absolutely idiot proof plug and play, with the only minor issue that the USB ports can get quite warm. Even using their rated USB C wire from the box it gets quite toasty after a charge session.

Typical UGREEN quality where it works for a few months then packs up. Had for around 4 months already failed. No longer takes power from the USBC PD port rendering it useless. A friend of mine has had similar issues with UGREEN docks. I will never buy UGREEN again. Avoid this brand unless you want to replace it within 6 months. My portable Lenovo dock has been working for upwards of 3 years purchased used from CEX for 12quid. Stick with a brand known for quality UGREEN obviously have terrible quality control

Works exactly as expected. It's a perfect piece of kit to turn your steam deck into a console of mini computer. I would recommend anyone with a steam deck purchase this, it is a great value for money.

Produit vraiment réussi dans l'ensemble. Le système pour mettre la console est une sorte de cale et cela a plusieurs avantages mais aussi quelques inconvénients. D'abord, ils ont pensé a appliquer un caoutchouc dessus ce qui évite de rayer la console. Ensuite, il est stable ! Et oui, c'est quand même assez important pour éviter que la console ne tombe sans cesse. La cale est entièrement repliable est permet un transport très facile de ce système. Cependant, ça nécessite de bien l'ajuster quand on le dépli. Après, l'exposition de l'écran est quand même notable et pourrait être risqué car au moindre coup la console peut tomber ( et ce n'est pas le petit câble qui la retiendra. C'est a peu près tout pour la cale. Il est aussi important de préciser que le dock ne fait passer que du 60fps ! Donc si vous avez la version oled de la console vous ne profiterais pas de ses 90 fps sur téléviseur. Finalement des patins à l'extérieur empêche la glisse et l'intérieur du dock est aussi rembouré par du caoutchouc donc pas de griffures ! Les connectiques sur le dock suffisent pour un usage en salon mais si vous souhaitez construire un setup autour ce ne sera peut-être pas assez suffisant...
