Extreme Outdoor Tape

Let’s be honest, the moment you realize you need to hang something heavy on an exterior brick wall, a wave of sheer dread usually sets in. The thought of dragging out the heavy-duty masonry drill bits, making a mess, and permanently scarring the facade of my home is never appealing. That was my exact dilemma when I wanted to mount some hefty metal house numbers and a large outdoor thermometer to the front of my house. Enter the VELCRO Brand Extreme Outdoor Double Sided Mounting Tape. I needed something that promised relentless grip without the permanence of concrete anchors, and this heavy-duty roll seemed like the perfect superhero for my weekend project. Getting this tape applied is an absolute breeze, though a little preparation goes a long way. I simply cleaned the brick surface with a stiff brush, let it dry entirely, and cut the perfect lengths from the generous 14-foot roll. The adhesive on this stuff is incredibly aggressive right out of the gate, so you definitely want to be sure of your placement before you commit! What truly impressed me is how the thick, highly adaptable nature of the tape easily conforms to the porous, wildly uneven texture of the brick. Instead of just resting on the high points of the masonry, it squishes right into the nooks and crannies, creating an unyielding bond that feels practically welded to the wall. The real magic, however, lies in its sheer holding power. Rated to hold up to 15 pounds, I decided to really put the VELCRO Brand Extreme Outdoor tape to the test with a heavy, wrought-iron decorative piece alongside my metal signage. Once I peeled the backing and pressed the items firmly against the mounted tape, there was zero slip or give. It grabbed onto the smooth metal backing of my decor just as fiercely as it hugged the rough brick. The peace of mind that comes from knowing my heavy outdoor decorations aren't going to suddenly plummet to the patio at the slightest vibration or strong breeze is absolutely priceless. Of course, holding strong on day one is great, but the true test of any outdoor mounting solution is how it handles the wrath of Mother Nature. My home gets a punishing mix of scorching UV rays, torrential downpours, and wild temperature swings, which usually turns standard adhesives into a brittle, useless mess within a season. I am thrilled to report that the UV and weather-resistant properties of this tape are no joke. Even after enduring weeks of baking afternoon sun followed by heavy, driving rainstorms, the adhesive hasn't degraded, peeled, or weakened in the slightest. The bond is just as rock-solid today as the minute I installed it. If you are looking for a way to effortlessly upgrade your outdoor living space, mount heavy security cameras, or simply hang seasonal decor without permanently damaging your siding, stucco, or brick, this is an absolute must-have in your toolkit. The sheer convenience of avoiding power tools, combined with industrial-strength reliability, makes the VELCRO Brand Extreme Outdoor Double Sided Mounting Tape an absolute game-changer. It delivers on every single promise, transforming tedious, messy outdoor mounting chores into quick, incredibly satisfying, tool-free victories.

It's been holding cute little metal stuff onto the brick on the front of my house for almost a month now without falling... in the wind, rain, and hail. I was skeptical.... like really skeptical, but it works! It is seriously sticky and I totally ruined a pair of nice scissors cutting all the pieces I needed, but it definitely works.

This VELCRO Brand Extreme Outdoor mounting tape feels substantially stronger than the lightweight hook-and-loop products I normally use around the house. The 14-foot roll provides plenty of material and can be cut to the exact length needed for each project. I especially like that it is designed for outdoor use and for more challenging surfaces such as brick and other rough materials. The double-sided adhesive makes installation straightforward without drilling holes or using additional hardware. The ability to separate and reattach the mounted item is a big advantage compared with permanent double-sided tape. The weather- and UV-resistant design also makes it much more practical for outdoor applications. Overall, this is a strong and versatile mounting solution with a generous amount of material on the roll. As with any adhesive product, proper surface preparation and staying within the manufacturer's weight limits are important for the best results.

Love these and works outdoors for my solar lights that I didn't want to use nails for..no holes in my outdoor walls. Years outdoors so far!

Strong, works well. I used it to close my plastic greenhouse when one of the zippers broke. The velcro is amazing and stays together even in strong wind, but the glue will come off in wind or rain a little. It's sticky enough to put back afterwards but you do get grass and stuff stuck in it while exposed and I don't think I'd trust it to actually hold something up instead of together the way the glue is.

Used this product to reinstall an outdoor screen on my patio sliding glass door. Adhesive is strong as advertised, and velcro has held up through several storms. Will definitely purchase again.

I would not recommend using this for outdoor furniture. I have cushions that constantly fall off my outdoor wicker set and thought this would be the perfect fix, unfortunately the adhesive would not stick to the wicker resulting in the cushions still falling off. The overall product would work great on a different material. It has great stickiness to it and is easy to align up between the two strips.

It's just what a person needs when we want something to stick, but not permanently. The glue is strong and it is easy to cut to length. Moreover, It doesn't take much to do the job. I can't say much about weather resistance being as I have only used it inside. Another nice feature is that it is very unobtrusive. In other words, you'll hardly know it's there.

I used this Velcro to hold a cargo liner in my vehicle. I wasn’t sure it would stick to the carpet side but it did. I’m impressed with the hold and I would definitely recommend this product.
