I initially bought this for my long-haired cat, and have since used it on my 100 lb dog and both pets love it. This brush is great for gently combing and removing knots on my cat, he doesn't fight me when I brush him. I recently tried it on my short-coated large dog and it also does great with him and reduces the amount of hair I'm cleaning up.

I like the shape of this brush and the material it is made of. It is easy to hold. I use it to brush my sheepskin rug and Mongolian lamb pillows. It does a great job. I don't use it on my cat, who prefers a brush with softer bristles.

Works great on very curly coats. I have a golden doodle and this brush works wonders on getting stubborn knots out of her fur. It doesn’t seem to cause her any discomfort either! I just wish it was a little easier to clean the fur out but it’s not necessarily hard either! Highly recommend!

I have bought ALOT of dif brushes, even a hair trimmer for my cats! One is 22 years old, and can't seem to groom like he used to, so he forms ALOT of nasty mats in his fur. Previously, we tried brushing them out, but the brushes would get caught on on them and hurt him trying to remove in a tug of war, so we resorted to cutting them out, but that was about a nightmare as well. So I took one more chance and bought this brush. All I can say is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! not sure what the difference is, but the mats come out in a few brush strokes, and from what we can tell, kitty is not hurt AT ALL! As a matter of fact, they now fight each other for a turn with the brush! It does not clean the easiest, but for how it performs, I'll make that trade all day long!

I have a 23lb domestic long hair cat that I love dearly. I try to keep him groomed with a lions cut, to help both of us with his shedding and the large clumps of fur that he leaves around the house. This brush is the best I've ever purchased! It get inside his undercoat and leaves his fur soft and fluffy. What a find! And easy to clean! My cat loves it too!

I have 2 cats one simple short hair and other a Norwegian forest cat (fluffy). When you use this brush, it helps reduce furball ingestion in your cat, which can be dangerous especially for your fluffy breeds. Just brush in small strokes for gentle use, then smooth with your free hand to sooth. To clean get a toothpick, move it gently along the base and lift up to remove the fur. This technique will prolong the life use of the brush, ripping upwards with your hands can damage the brush prongs and base. This is also how you properly clean your hair brushes, yet with a very thin wooden dowel, instead of a toothpick, like a chop stick.

It's very awkward to use on my medium/large cat. Especially on the face. It's wide and unwieldy, but like I said, works REALLY well! It's kind of a pain to clean though. I use a long tooth afro pic.

This is by far the best dog brush I have ever used on my cocker spaniels. Really cuts down on the mats and actually detangles the mats that they get. Would definitely buy again.

This Hertzko it wonderful. The tines are slightly bent, and the tips are not ‘sharp’. Brushing is enjoyable and tolerable for our 11 y.o. Aussie Shepherd and 4 y.o. long-haired feline pets. Easy to clean brushed-out hair from times. Good purchase, good quality

Would have been 5 stars if not for the hard metal edges surrounding the brush. Makes it awkward and uncomfortable for pet when brushing. If not careful, pet can get poked by metal edges that surround brush.
