Papo Tiger Mutant

The pictures are amazingly done, so do be prepared for the fact that he is plastic, but it is darned high quality plastic. I stuck my tiger on my computer printer and look at him all the time. I was originally looking for werewolf statues, and happened on the stunning line of Papo mutants. The didn't have a werewolf but do have some amazingly nice wolves. This is something that children or adults will enjoy and it would make a great gift. Especially for people who live in small spaces. Their range of animals is quite large and the dragons just blow me away. I think I want all of those... these figures are so intricate and creative that they are truly a work of art. I will definitely be buying more from this line of products! The detail on the face is so finely done that I have to put on my reading glasses to see it all. His sword and axe can be adjusted but all the other body parts are fixed. The long handle of the axe had become slightly bowed during packaging and shipping. (God, now I just sound so nerdy.) :)

This is a great, durable, imaginative figure. There are some complaints here about the paint being less than excellent. It's true the paint is obviously a production-line job, but as far as production line toys go, this is by *far* one of the better paint jobs I've seen. Also the paint is durable! Ours goes into the sandbox, the bathtub, fights with Matchbox cars, jumps off the bunk bed - you name it! And through it all he still looks great. I think the weapons are not supposed to be removable, but ours can be removed. (Ask an eight year old, they'll figure it out.) I also love his pose. He looks just as menacing without his weapons as with. We also own the Papo " Crocodile Man ", another excellent figure.

OUTSTANDING FIGURINE. I am VERY happy to have this piece, it's excellently priced, it is very well made, the colors and detailing is very sharp, and I like the sizing

I have mixed feelings about this figurine. I loved the first image which shows a fierce gladiator. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. The second image now being shown on the site is the correct one. The gladiator has a very passive expression and his colors aren't as vivid or bold. At 3.5 inches tall, he does look good in the set. Included a picture of the face close up so you can see the difference. I don't known if they changed the style or they have two styles available, but please be aware you might get something different than shown on the site. I'm still undecided.

We love this brand of figurines. My son saw this at our local castle for their Halloween festival and fell in love but it was out of our souvenir budget so he asked Santa for it. It is heavy and thick and really well made. It's is hard but not brittle so it won't break off an arm or axe if you drop it. Great detail. We have had no problems with our Papo items having paint chipping or breaking or anything. Satisfied customer for life!

We bought this figure after getting the Lion Man figure and see how well made that figure was. The plastic is sturdy yet soft and does have some give, but is not made for bending. The detail on the figure is great and so sharp you expect the figure to be panting. The eyes have been painted in that special stare that a really tiger might give you at a zoo. My kids really love these Papo figures, I just wish they would make some more animal men.

The figure looks good for what my 7yo wanted, we were not disappointed with the paint as some have been. However our figure arrived with a broken tail. The tail is necessary to balance the figure so that it stands upright. This is the second figure from this shop that we’ve had break within the first day of play which is frustrating because all of the reviews we read indicated they held up well to play.

The axe is removable. The face painted better then the lion. Cool. Standing good. High quality.
