Thule 530 Quick Loop Strap,Black (Pack of 2)

I got these to use with my Buick Lesabre while carrying my canoe, and alternately, kayak on the roof rack. I was able to use the Thule 529 straps under the hood with the fender bolts, but had no such luck finding any suitable bolts to use in the truck, so I needed another solution to tie down the rear of the boat. There are also no suitable anchor points on or under the bumper either, so enter the Thule 530 Quick Loop Strap. I am able to position this under the flange that holds the weatherstripping for the trunk lip seal, and leave the loop end hanging out to tie down to. I was unsure if this was the correct way to position them, but they have worked flawlessly over several trips of a few hundred miles in duration each without any incidents. They do not move, do not stretch (even when wet), and do not leave any marks on the vehicle. They are quick and easy to install and remove, and appear to be very durable and should last a very long time. I am usually by myself when tying down the boats, so I found a trick to make it easy to get these positioned. Normally until the trunk is closed these would just fall in to the trunk due to the weight of the rubber hose end. And you cannot hold both of them in position and close the trunk at the same time (at least I can't). So I hang a tie down off the side of the trunk fastened to one loop, which holds it in position while I hold the other loop with my hand while closing the trunk. Then just run the tie down to the boat and then the other loop.

Straps work well enclosed in the hood and trunk. They secure the kayak and give you confidence you’re going to arrive without incident.

Not only that, you get two. I was just expecting one loop strap. I have not used them yet, so I can't comment on use. Update - I have used them a couple times and they work very well. Long enough to cover the inside plastic of my toyota sienna van and does not damage anything. Holds well and I do recommend twisting the tie downs to prevent wind movement. Great product and quality made.

Bought these to use on 2022 Ram Bighorn. Have Elevate racks with Yakima Sweet Roll saddles and bought these Thule Straps for front tie downs. Unfortunately not long enough to keep the metal "S" hooks from hitting the hood. Had to wrap in pipe insulation foam to protect hood. They seem well constructed and fit under hood securely just not great for my Truck/Kayak set up.

My husband and I love these. These quick loop straps make it so much easier to tie down our canoe! There is no place to loop around our straps in the front of our vehicle. These fit under the hood of the car and keep our large canoe very stable. My husband felt extremely confident driving normal to high speeds with the canoe on our truck!

This is another great product from Thule. Surprisingly, my 2013 Subaru Outback has no place for bow tie downs for my kayaks. This strap fits right in either side under the hood for a secure tie down. I don't recommend using them on the front of the hood as the metal from the rope S-hook if you are using one or the straps themselves will likely scratch the paint. But they do exactly what they are made to do.

The design of these tie-downs is both simple and rugged. It's the best solution I've seen for adding tie-downs for car top carried canoes and kayaks. Other straps attach to the vehicle's front or back tow hooks, where the strap wraps across the vehicle hood and damages the clearcoat by rubbing against it. The Thule Quick Loops fit between the vehicle hood and fender top, and can be adjusted forward or back to provide a secure anchor point for the line tied to bow of your kayak or canoe.

I am very satisfied with these quick loops! They make hauling anything on my roof rack easy! I use them on my Honda Accord by placing one under my hood and one under my trunk to have a tie down point for my kayaks or anything I'm hauling! It works tremendously!

This works awesome! I definitely recommend this for those who have kayaks and no where to strap your kayak to especially when vehicles only have plastic to attach a strap to!

Finally, an easy way to attach our canoe. After buying our new car, we struggled with how to safely attach our canoe. Went with the Thule Quick Loop Strap partly because of the name, and it just seemed easy to use. So glad we purchased. No damage to car with use. Definitely worth it.

Have a new truck and didn't want the kayak front cords going over driver and passenger views. This works great to help secure the kayaks with the engine hood (without doing any damage)
