Works great on my MS250. Starts immediately. I’d replaced the cylinder in my saw then the carb needed replacing bc it was hard to start despite Stihl’s reputation for easy start. This saw is about 15 years old. I never used non-ethanol. The thin diagrams may have just given out. This slid right on. Linkages were fine. Adjustment screws do not line up but I’m not sure why people make a big deal over that. It’s not like you adjust it every time - set them and be done. Besides, it’s not hard to take a cover off, right? The air cleaner fit just fine too. Comes w a plug and other lines, filters, gaskets, etc which I’ll save in case I need them later. You may need to get it started then hold throttle to get it tuned correctly. I don’t know that the number of turns from bottomed out are the same as Stihl but there’s only a slight amount of adjustment so you’ll find the sweet spot easily.

My chainsaw had sat for awhile with fuel in it, thus requiring that the carburetor be rebuilt. When I initially googled looking for the carb kit, up popped the amazon listing for a tuneup kit for the saw, which included the carb, fuel line, filter, air filter ass'y, and spark plug. I took a chance and bought it. As it turns out, the carb offered by amazon is a no-name carburetor. There is not one marking, model numbers or anything to indicate who built this carb, which can be confusing if this carb ever needs to be rebuilt. The original carb was built by Zama, and I do not know if any of parts of the two carbs are interchangeable. Also, the rubber boot that seals up the airbox will not fit over the carb's adjustment screws as there is a difference on how the new carb is manufactured and prevents the rubber boot to fit over the adjustment screws. Otherwise, all is normal, the chainsaw starts in the normal fashion, throttles up with ease, and idles when the trigger is released.

Have a Stihl 025 that I bought in the ‘90’s. Took it into an authorized dealer about 15 years ago, they said it needed a new carb and the didn’t make it anymore. Had to buy new, but lower power low profile. Found this on Amazon and it worked right out of the box. High end needs a little adjustment but I am extremely impressed that I was able to salvage such a high performance chainsaw.

Saw runs perfectly now, Be careful to look over saw and replace just what's needed. My older 021 is not a easy saw to work on. If you want to replace everything with what is supplied you will have to completely disassemble the whole saw. I replaced carb, engine vent line, fuel line, carb gasket. Took me 3 hours. Not easy going. Also, Air filter supplied does not fit my saw, just cleaned and used old one. Did need to adjust carb, was set too rich on high speed.

Worked very well on an ms250. On the newer model machines you will need to modify the existing vent or use the supplied vent it comes with since the H/L Screws aren't the same. I set the Screws each at 1 turn out. Started and idled perfectly. Surprised with all the parts it came with for the price.

Replaced carb on a MS 250 and saw runs well. You will need to tune it to make saw run properly. You may have issues with fitment of rubber guard on saw that supposed to fit over idle screw ports.
