I have another Frigidaire AC, 10,000 BTU, which I’ve had it for about 4 years. It’s still working perfectly. When I needed a smaller unit, 5000 BTU, I decided to go with Frigidaire again. This unit is obviously smaller and weights less. But it is doing a terrific job of cooling a smaller room. The noise level is about what I anticipated. Not super quiet, but it just becomes background noise that does not disturb me. I like the fact that it comes with a remote control. The side panels fit perfectly from one side of the window to the other without leaving any noticeable gap. The manufacturer also includes gap seal foam to plug smaller openings so no cold air escapes. Frankly, there is nothing negative I can say about this unit. I wanted small, trustworthy and reliable. I got it. Oh, and I also got it at a really good price so that was also a plus.

This air conditioner is very affordable and works great! My old one had died and my bedroom was super hot because of a heatwave and I put this one in and it had my bedroom cooled all the way off in about an hour: love the remote and the eco mode for when I’m not home!

Not as easy to install in a window as thought, but with some extra foam insulation and tape it will work. It really IS a very quiet little unit that works perfectly in a guest room 11x12 feet. The 78 degree room was cooled to 71 within about 15 minutes, and the remote came with 2 AAA batteries already in it. Love that the temp light display goes off after a bit (our Midea u-shape has a bright number displaying all night, bleh). No need in our 39 inch wide window to use any extra wide side panels after all, sending those back. The ones that came on the AC just made the stretch across the 39 inch window without any support frame required. (But if it were a next step up in size definitely add the support frame.)

i got this because it comes with a remote and it is 5000btu i have a GE 5000 BTU , i put it in a bathroom and leave the door open with a fan blowing out so it can cool one bedroom but the problem with this unit is its limited it doesn't work like a real window unit traditionally , i got this one also for the digital thermometer but it only goes to 60 f and it doesnt cool nonstop at any point i dont care how hot it is noise depends on the insulation you put on your window its quite, small but if your ok with getting up working get the GE 5000btu one it will cool none stop until the thromomiter gets cold and u can use a hair dryer to make it come on in the cold seasons or nights , this Frigidare one i thought would be better from reviews and specs but im gonna return theis and keep my GE 5000btu window unit the only problem i had with it was it didnt come on during cooler nights and it doesnt have a remote but atleast it can cool like crazy im talking 64 61 f . it has mild cooling.

I have this brand AC in my room it has worked so good for 5years I decided to get my daughter the smaller one. Great little AC and quiet powerful!! My daughter loves it.

I’ve had this AC unit since February, and it’s now July. Overall, it’s done a great job keeping my small bedroom cool, and I haven’t had any issues with its cooling performance. It’s fairly quiet, easy to use, and the remote is a nice bonus. However, I’m disappointed that after only a few months, the LED display has already started failing. The numbers have faded to the point where I can no longer see the temperature or settings on the unit. For something that’s less than six months old, I expected better durability. If the display hadn’t failed so quickly, I would have rated this much higher. It cools well, but the quality of the display is definitely a concern.

OK unit but not as cold as I thought it could produce. Units' compressor shuts down early and it's in a small room 12'x12'. Not what I expected. I might send it back before the 30 days return period. I'm not really satisfied. I should have bought one at a big box store for an easy return. Now I will have to go through the hassle of repackaging the unit if I decide to send it back. I'll give it a few more days till I decide what to do.
