Conclave: A Devil's Night Novella

Penelope is seriously one of my favourite authors. This whole series is incredible. I love it with my whole being and wish I could experience it for the first time again! I love all the characters and their uniqueness. I love how the books are written with the present day and flashing back to their younger selves. It adds more suspense to the books because you don’t have any idea what happened in the past to make the present day as it is until nearly the end of the books. The way the four books link together and each focus on one of the men in the group whilst we still see what is going on with the other three keeps you intrigued to reading more so you can find out more and more about the characters. The spice in the books is amazing also. Some of the best I have read. It made me blush at one stage and it took me about an hour to read one passage because I couldn’t read it, it was that hot! Definitely a worthy read!

I rated this book 4* it was a lighter and slower paced filler book compared to the others in this series, but still had its own plot twists and drama to keep you wanting to read more. Damon in this book is definitely most interesting just eith how he's still Damon but he's having to definitely make a conscious effort with everyone but isn't going to back down, he's still very stubborn and I love it. It's definitely interesting seeing his dynamic with Rika, especially after the previous book twist. Rika and Michael have also had their own issues but hopefully they're on the way to fixing their issues, even after Rika's heartbreaking confessions and demands which is definitely going to change their relationship dynamic but hopefully make them stronger together. I've definitely missed Will in this book, but it's interesting that we know where he is but not quite what he's in for. I'm ready to read his pov to Damon's voicemails and the other good news he's missed out on. The end chapter with Damon and Winter was my absolute favourite just because of how it's going to change Damon and push him to be his absolute best. I'd highly recommend this novella book and the series to people who enjoy dark romance books that are heavily themed.

It's amazing to see how they are all growing up and I believe they all need many conclave sessions. I love that the book touches on infertility and how they handle it together

“A world where there is no us can’t happen.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for story and 🌶🌶🌶/5 for spice This was a cute follow up novella to better wrap up the group’s ongoings before Penelope decides to give us Will’s story. This series has been insanely addictive. Bunch of rich, horny people doing shitty things to one another cause they’re bored. But it’s entertaining as hell. I really enjoy the way Douglas writes. It’s fluid and easy. And damn if she doesn’t know how to write a steamy sex scene. I appreciated this novella for the not going down the “rape” route and just having good ol’ romance vibes with hot sex. I am really glad I am following the order of books for the Devil’s Night series. I highly suggest, and don’t skip!

All of the group go to have a conclave on the yacht. Minus Will. They deal with some pressing matters, try to sort plans and then have some cheeky hot spicy time. Can't wait to see what happens in book 4.

Conclave is book 3.5 in the Devils Night series and is done in 2 parts... Part 1 is told from Damon’s POV!! Damon is my favorite of the Horsemen and also my ALL time favorite hero😍 so getting to be back in his head was incredible!! Honestly, I do not even know what to say when it comes to Damon, he is just such an amazing character and getting to see him evolve even more in Conclave made my heart so freaking happy! Part 2 is told from Rika’s POV! I always liked Rika, but after reading Kill Switch and now Conclave I freaking LOVE her! Rika is so much stronger than I initially gave her credit for, like she turned into a real bad ass and I love it!! Even though Conclave Part 1 was done in Damon’s POV and Conclave Part 2 was done in Rika’s POV we still get to see the whole gang Banks, Kai, Alex, Winter, Damon, Michael, Rika, and Misha and Ryen from Punk 57 make a cameo too! The only one not there was Will…👀 Anyways, as I said I adored Conclave and being in the Devils Night series was absolutely incredible!😍 If you like Dark Romance reads I highly recommend checking this series out! Each book in the series just keeps getting better and better! The details, the characters, and the concepts are all amazing!! Nightfall (book 4) here I come! *Series must be read in order*
