I bought another for upstairs because I loved it so much!
This is by far THE best purchase I have ever made. It was easy to map, and works perfectly. I love the self cleaning base. The app is user friendly and allows you to clean one room at a time, multiple rooms or all rooms. You just click on them! Give you options for no-go places and different varying power based on floor type. I have a GSD who sheds so I use this every other day at least. I bought another for upstairs and now both are in the same app.

Simple set up and good performance
We like this very much. It’s much better than the last Roomba we had. The mapping software works well and the app is fine. We really have no complaints. It’s a little loud but really it’s within acceptable limits. The self cleaning function works extremely well for us. Overall, we are very, very pleased with this unit.

OH NO NO NO READ THIS FIRST. 1.5 YEARS LATER 2 OF THEIR PRODUCTS DIE.. TOGETHER? SCAMMMMM
OHHHHH NO NO NO.. MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW---- This vacuum was great. Until it wasn't. I have had it for a year and a half, and it's dead. runs for like 5 min on full battery and then just stops. Press any buttons, nothing, completely unfunctional. Place it on the charger and check the app-- Battery is at 100% The return window for Amazon has closed, so I went directly to RoboRock. They told me it was possible that it was a hardware issue, and I have to send it to them for inspection and repair. Except I have to pay for it all!!! I bought this along with one of their wet mop vacuums (spending over $500), and they both conveniently died around the same time. They then told me they would give me a repair quote, and if I don't want to pay it, they will send back the non-working machines. ORRRRR they offered me TWENTY DOLLARS TOWARDS A NEW MACHINE WITH THEM!!!!! I laughed and was like--- how do you have the audacity to offer me $20 towards a new vacuum when I clearly spent over $500 on both vacuums ONLY A YEAR AND A HALF AGO?!?!? WAIT, IT GETS BETTER----- you can't get RoboRock on the phone EVER. I am currently on hold with them for going on 45 mins. No one ever picked up the phone-- Just went directly to on-hold music. HOWEVER---if you go through Amazon , they call you right back. MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. AND THENNNNN----WHOEVER CALLS YOU BACK FROM REACHING OUT THROUGH AMAZON IS THE ONE WHO STARTS THE EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE, NOT ROBOROCKS OFFICIAL PHONE NUMBER CUSTOMER SERVICE. And their support emails are VERY DIFFERENT. THE ROBOROCK WEBSITE IS [email protected]. THE emails I've been getting in a very weird font are from [email protected] AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST--- IF I WANT TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS, I HAVE TO PAY THEM THROUGH PAYPAL?!?!?!?! LIKE WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!? MAKE THIS MAKE SENSEEEEE. I SMELL A SCAM COMING ON.

Best robot vacuum IMO
I have used iRobot for years (since they first came out). The RoboRock are less expensive and much more reliable in my experience. I haven’t actually used one upstairs and downstairs. They run on a schedule each day and empty themselves. I can do a spot clean or specific room clean when necessary. It is noisy, but does the job well. I love that it gets under the furniture. Its auto-mapping feature seems to remember where it gets stuck under the dressers and fortunately doesn’t get stuck as often. I love the iPhone app. It warns me when the robot has an issue and shows me where it is located-very useful when it is under a dresser! Mine doesn’t mop.

Roborock Q5+ Max – Still the Best Choice for Pet Owners!
I originally had the Roborock Q5 and absolutely loved it—it handled my multi-cat household with ease. Unfortunately, it stopped working within a year. Hoping for better longevity, I tried switching to another well-known brand. That turned out to be a mistake. Within two weeks, I returned it because it simply couldn’t match the performance of the Roborock. The Q5+ Max is a major upgrade. The mapping system is far superior to the other brand I tried. With the previous vacuum, it got stuck under the couch and I had no idea where it was—its map didn’t even show the room it was in. I had to move furniture just to find it! In contrast, Roborock’s app shows exactly where the vacuum is at all times. Even better, the Q5+ seems smarter than the original Q5—it avoids areas where it might get stuck, like under beds or tables. The “no-go zones” feature is easy to set up and works flawlessly, giving me full control over where it cleans. I use the “no-go zones” to ensure it doesn't go under my beds or couches just for peace of mind. One of the standout features is how quiet the Q5+ is. Compared to other robot vacuums I’ve tried, this one is noticeably more peaceful, even when running multiple times a day. I have tile and hardwood floors that show every bit of cat hair. Even on the lowest suction setting, the Q5+ picks up all the fur and leaves my floors looking beautiful. It’s incredibly effective and doesn’t require constant adjustment to get great results. The dustbin and auto-empty dock work seamlessly, making maintenance minimal. This is a huge plus when dealing with pet hair daily. I run the vacuum multiple times a day, and it keeps the hair under control without needing constant attention. While the Q5+ Max cost a bit more than my original Q5, it’s absolutely worth the investment. The performance, features, and reliability make it a standout. Even if this one only lasts a year like the last, I’d still buy another without hesitation. The app allows me to select specific rooms, set up cleaning routines for high-traffic areas, and monitor everything in real time. The battery is strong enough to clean my entire bottom floor—about 2,000 sq ft—in one go. Final Verdict: If you have pets and want a reliable, smart, and quiet robot vacuum, the Roborock Q5+ Max is hands-down the best choice. I highly recommend it!

Great, but no pets
Does a decent job vacuuming and maneuvering both on and off carpet. BUT does NOT do long pet hair. Will clump and clog and just transfer hair from one location to another. If you’ve got no or low-maintenance pets then this should get the job done.

Keeps floors clean.
Does a complete job of cleaning my entire ranch home. Works than I thought it would! Picks up dog and cat hair, dust and dirt. Very pleased.

Well built, but requires lots of maintenance. 3.5 Stars.
I've now owned and used this product for a full 5 months. This is gonna be a long one. Where to begin...? Let's start with the good. It does a decent job with the daily cleaning once you get it set up in the app (more on that later). It has powerful suction that will pick up cat litter/cereal/crumbs and most other small daily messes from flat surfaces and fairly shallow carpet. The dual rollers are really useful in this aspect. The radar/lidar will allow it to avoid obstacles like large pet toys and furniture, and the "AI" it has will allow it to route around most table legs to get pretty much everywhere. It knows how big it is, so it won't try to go into places it won't fit. It has a "cliff detection" feature that will prevent it from falling down stairs, or in our case, getting stuck on our sliding glass door track. The one corner brush it has does an OK job at getting into corners. It does integrate with Alexa -mostly. You have to install the skill and use the pre-named room options in the Roborock app. Alexa doesn't recognize custom room names. Trust me, I've tried. You can set up a routine where you have the command as something like "ask Roborock to clean the family room" but have the trigger phrase set to something along the lines of "Computer, please sanitize the Bridge". It'll undock, go vacuum the family room, then go back to the dock and automatically empty the dust bin if you have it set to do that in the app. It'll even wait to charge if you have it set to not charge between certain times because of increased electricity rates during peak hours (thinking of you, Southern California Edison). It's really well built and honestly pretty sturdy. It can handle bumps, knocks, kicks, cats sitting on it, and the occasional comical random launch at full speed into a wall. The battery life is pretty decent too. Now for the bad... I have never in my 37 years seen a vacuum that requires so much maintenance to function properly. You WILL spend time cleaning it. If you live in a dusty environment or have pets like we do, the sensors, filter and charging pads will get dirty, and you WILL have to clean them. OFTEN. You'll go through dust filters like they're free. Seriously, buy them in bulk. Thankfully they're fairly cheap. If you have long hair or a long haired pet, you'll have to clean the rollers about once a week. Granted, the rollers are easy to clean, and they come apart easily enough to do so. Plan on changing the bag about once a week to once every 2 weeks. Every other day or so check the dust bin to make sure it's emptied properly. Since we have long haired pets, a lot of time it gets clogged and doesn't, so I have to do it manually. About once a month I have to take the tower apart and remove a clog. If you have cats, you most likely also have cat toys. Pick them up before it cleans, or they'll get eaten. They're too small for the sensors to see, and they'll clog the rollers and jam up the vacuum. Ask me how I know. I've removed many a mouse from the rollers. For some unknown reason, this thing has a personal vendetta against rugs. We have tile floors throughout the house (and rugs as a result), and all of our rugs have double-sided rubberized tape holding them down so they don't slide all over the place. This thing has somehow managed to curl up the edges of every single rug we own. I don't know how it does it. It also doesn't like to pick up debris from uneven surfaces, like the space right next to the curled up edge of a rug. Deep carpet? Not a chance. Ground in pet hair? Fahgeddaboudit. Then there's the app... I'll start by saying "Good luck, you'll need it. And a software engineering degree. And patience". Once you get it set up, if for some reason you change your wifi name or password, Gods help you. You'd think you were trying to break into Fort Knox. There's also no way that I have found to delete the map and have it re-learn your house if you move, either. On the plus side, if you move the dock, it will automatically relearn where its home is, and it does remap constantly, so if you close a door mid-clean it'll usually recognize it. Maybe that's why you can't delete the map...? If you try and edit the map, it likes to group rooms together for some reason, then when you try to add dividers to separate rooms or spaces, it throws errors or adds other parts of one room to other rooms you've already sectioned off. It took me over 3.5 hours to get it set up. Scheduling is a nightmare unto itself as well. The app needs work, but once you finally get it set up, it does function, albeit kind of clunkily. As a final note, the vacuum does tend to get scratched fairly easily. It seems to like to drag around corners and door frames. I've noticed a few deep gouges on the front bumper and several scratches on the top where it likes to go under things. You can see the ones on the top next to the googly eyes I put on it to add some personality. All in all, would I buy it again? Maybe. But only if they fix the glaring issues. They need to add some sort of protection to the rollers to prevent hair from becoming tangled in the spindles. They need to add a second ejection port to empty the dust bin instead of just reversing the flow through the rollers. A second sweeper brush on the other side would also be a welcome addition. Last, but certainly not least, MAKE THE APP MORE USER FRIENDLY.

Winner!
'Robbie', our Roborock Q5 Max, is my hero. The dust in our condo is reduced, and the floors are always clean. Robbie easily mapped out the space, and programming the schedule was a cinch. He reports daily on tasks completed and when maintenance is needed.

Limpia bien
