I have a Tissot VisiDate that after changing the battery I just couldn't get the back on without damaging the watch. Years ago I destroyed the crystal of a different (luckily inexpensive) watch like this, and it had nothing to do with the caseback not being aligned with the stem, it was simply so tight it was like trying to press in a bearing by hand. Really didn't want to drive all the way to a jeweler just to put a stupid watchback on. This worked like magic, and comes with all the tools you need. After assembly, the caseback was on in literally 3 seconds with no damage to the watch. Use the included plastic wrap, it prevents the caseback from turning. The press is very well made and I like that it comes in a big sealable bag so once it's put together you don't have to disassemble it again, just pop the whole thing in the bag with all its accessories. I won't use it often, but it's a godsend when you need it. Super easy to use. It's ridiculous that one would need such a thing to me just to change a battery but it is what it is I guess. Great value for such a nice set as well!

You want this one. Really. Worth every penny! Simple to set up, simple to use, simple to disassemble for storage. Well made, nicely finished, goes together solidly. Follow the simple instructions EXACTLY for perfect results. Have a Soviet era mechanical wind aviator's watch with clear exhibition case back that was refurbished in Ukraine. Was running fast - real fast. Contacted the seller, he was very willing to adjust it, but I would have to box it up, pay to ship it, deal with customs, ship it to Ukraine, and wait x amount of time for watch to come back. - OR - I could buy this kit, pop the case back off, fiddle with the adjustment five or six times over the course of a week or so until I got it as close as I could get it, pop the case back on again, and VIOLA! Problem solved, everything all hunky-dory okay fine, and me just as happy as a post Soviet pig in good socialist poo! This is one of those tools that the average Joe, Jane, or person of undetermined gender is not going to need more than a couple of times, but boy, howdy, it is a LIFESAVER when you need it. For less than $15 USD (March 2026) you just can't go wrong! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

This product is a winner. I got it today and read the instructions and put it together within 30 minutes. After selecting the proper cones I was able to close a stubborn Timex cover very easily and quickly. The price is cheap and beats any home remedy method I've ever tried. It is definitely important to read those instructions carefully. Otherwise, you could easily break the crystal.

There are quite a number of watch cover presses on Amazon, but I think this is the best one (short of purchasing a professional model for hundreds of dollars). The press is precisely machined in aluminum with stainless steel screw components. It comes nicely packaged with good instructions for assembly and use. The case molds are nylon (more durable than plastic found in less expensive presses) and have brass threaded inserts for mounting on the press to insure correct alignment. The 8 molds provide 16 different diameters ranging from 24 to 50 mm which should work for almost all round watches. The only negative that I have noticed so far is that the compression screw has just a bit of wobble, so if you're not careful the top mold can tilt slightly. This may actually be intentional to allow you to make slight adjustments in the press alignment, but on first use it took a couple of tries before I had the top mold in full contact with the case back. Once you achieve that, the press works perfectly. Update #1: I'm reducing my rating to 4 starts. I went back and read all the 1 star reviews and I now believe that the aluminum top piece may have a design flaw that could cause it to break under very high force loads. The piece should be wider in the middle (like the base) to provide more aluminum on either side of the main screw shaft. One could also ague that if you're applying enough force to break the aluminum top (or the nylon mold) you might be damaging your watch as well, and this is borne out in many of the pictures in the 1 star reviews. When working with fine watches, it is not a good idea to apply the old engineering adage "if it doesn't go easily, get a bigger hammer". As far as the instances of crystal breakage, I believe this may be due to an incorrect choice of bottom mold diameter - you have to make sure that the mold only contacts the watch body, not any part of the crystal. I don't recommend wrapping the watch in plastic wrap as they suggest in the instructions, as this makes it harder to visually determine that the mold is aligned correctly on the watch body. Unless your watch is made from very soft metal, or has some type of surface decoration, the mold should not damage the watch body. And finally, I agree with the reviewers that found that this device is not suitable for very small and/or very large watches. Update #2: I used the press to replace a broken crystal in my Skagen watch today. A "matching" crystal on esslinger.com was listed at $25.50 plus shipping, but I found a 3-pack of identical 32.5 mm double-domed "generic" crystals on Amazon for $6.99. I figured with a 3-pack I could break one or two mastering the process and still come out way ahead. Much to my surprise, I was able to replace the crystal on the first try - without removing the movement from the case. I took my time, repositioning the watch several times to make sure the mold pressed down on the full circumference of the crystal (as others have mentioned, you need to "fiddle" with the upper mold alignment to get it just right). Crystals require less pressure than case backs, so this was an easy task for the press. I've attached a photo (note: case scratches are from long ago - no case marks resulted from using the press).

Surprising level of quality for the price. I can't believe how easy working on a watch can be with the correct tools such as this press. (I also bought the basic Jorest tool set). Highly recommend these tools and this seller.

Good product and easy to use

I decided it was time to order a watch press to be able to change the battery in my Timex watches and others with the snap back. The quality of this JOREST press is quite good. Every thing that you will need is included. Various sized pieces to fit your watch with clear instructions. It worked great. Now I won't need to pay someone to change those batteries.

Worked perfectly as intended. Carefully following instructions plus common sense won the day —getting snap back case onto watch out scratching the back & without shattering the chrystal. Seems well made of solid materials & will last a very long time. Great price/value equation.

Der Artikel kam pünktlich - wie angegeben - an. Ich habe die Uhrenpresse zusammengebaut und konnte an allen Uhren hinten die Deckel fixieren. Zwei Uhren sind kaputt gegangen - es war aber klar mein Fehler. Die eine hatte eine Rundung im Gewölbe (habe ich nicht vorher beachtet) und bei der anderen habe ich scheinbar überdreht. Man muss sehr vorsichtig sein. Es waren alles nicht besonders teure Uhren und die, auf die es mir ankam, sind ohne Glasbruch davon gekommen. Also, wenn man es richtig macht - ich hatte auch die Unterlage nicht genommen - dann klappt alles wunderbar. Wenn man dreht, hört man beim Einrasten ein leichtes Knacken. Dann darf man nicht weiterdrehen und bei gewölbtem Glas vorsichtig. Ich habe es auch für eckige Deckel genommen. Man sollte aber genau die Mitte treffen. Ich habe zum Teil mit einer Lupe und einer starken Lesebrille zur Vergrößerung gearbeitet. Der Kauf lohnt sich in jedem Fall. ich habe jetzt nicht nur das normale Uhrenwerkzeugset, sondern auch noch dieses spezielles Gerät und habe kostengünstig in über 20 Uhren selbst Batterien einsetzen können. Bei den Batterien habe ich drauf geachtet, dass es gute Marken sind. Summa Summarum: große Ersparnis und ich habe viel dazu gelernt
