No, it is a completely different technology.

Will this product work to detect co2 levels in an aquarium?

This meter cannot be used in water for a direct CO2 level. I don't know if the air (CO2 level) immediately above the water surface can provide useful info for dissolved CO2 in the water.

How many ppm's of CO2 will the meter read?

Range 0-9999 ppm . 5001-9999 out of accuracy range. resolution is 1 ppm

I'd like amprobe to indicate what the range of the co2 guage is & the accuracy of the co2 readings? why isn't this basic info listed in the offering?

The CO2 Meter which i received read 2,800ppm in our 2,000ppm calibration test gas. I sent it back.
