My honest thoughts
Metal Gear Solid Delta is practically a faithful recreation of what we experienced back in 2004 with Snake Eater, but now with a completely renewed graphical presentation that makes it look spectacular today. I really liked that they respected the original gameplay: everything you could do back then is still here, only with a much more modern look. That said, new players might find the movement a bit slow compared to today’s action titles. It’s important to remember that this isn’t a fast-paced shooter, but a stealth and tactics experience where every decision matters. Still, it’s always up to the player to choose whether to crawl quietly or go in guns blazing. In conclusion, Metal Gear Solid Delta is highly recommended both for veterans who want to relive the experience and for newcomers who want to discover one of the most iconic titles in the saga in its best version yet.

This is a Masterpiece of a game.
This game is a masterpiece and one the greatest games I have ever played. Never played the orginal mgs 3(but played others MGS Games) and I absolutely love this game! The writing is phenomenal, the voice acting is top notch, graphics on ps5 pro are fantastic though i hate Unreal Engine 5 due to some performance issues. Controls are a but odd initially and take some getting used to in comparison to other games but all in all thr gameplay and storytelling is FANTASTIC. I Highly recommend this game to anyone even remotely interested in slow methodical stealth gameplay like splinter cell or the hitman series. Hideo Kojimas games are timeless classic that deserve support and at LEAST 1 playthrough. The unique boss battles are amazing!

A makeover that respects the original.
Good remake, I like the added wrinkles to the gameplay, but to be honest for those sitting on the fence: it is still the same game. At base, you can play this cheaper in the collection that came out a couple of years ago. Whether the update in graphics and few gameplay tweaks is worth full price is what one should consider. Never played MGS3 at all? I would recommend easily for a first timer (though I’d still point out the cheaper option as a choice too), but for the rest, it depends on how much the graphics and modern controls matter to you. Either way, original or this new one, MGS3 is a great game and worth playing. Which version is worth your money, however, is entirely up to you as the base game is the same. Personally, I hope they do this for others in the series. I’d like to hope this is also functioning as a training process on possibly doing a brand new one entirely. Hideo Kojima is a great designer, but he is not singularly responsible for everything in these games, and I think someone who has respect for them can step in and make a new one. Between this, the Silent Hill 2 remake, and the upcoming Silent Hill F, I think Konami is making an earnest effort in climbing back up.

Great remake but has issues
I am a long time MGS fan with pretty much every release since PS1 to include collectors editions. This of course was a no brainer regarding my purchase, and I am this far about 50% through what maybe my 20th replay of the MGS3 Saga asa whole. The Good: Very true to majority of the original design, theme, and overall MGS3 universe. Added themes and modes for long time veterans of the series. Allows for play with both legacy and modern MGS style gameplay, something I really enjoyed in MGS4 and MGS5. Graphically well done, though I believe more optimization and a balanced with VRR mode similar to Horizon Forbidden West (which I hold as graphically superior to MGS5). The menu for weapons and camo swap and quick access launch to cure is a game changer compared to the past. This speeds up you espionage tactics in the game. The Bad: Tranq gun mechanics is kind of a downer as compared to the original. The bullet drop is insane (though not impossible to get use to). The audio...this needs to be fixed it's too quiet despite changes in compression etc. I have complete sony HTA7000 sub and S5 rear speakers and it's the quietest game I own. I have played around with sound settings and found dynamic compression in game menu helps but the surround feeling is definitely muted. (Maybe I am veteran of the series) But hard as I rememberes in MGS3 was actually hard, this feels a bit easier and the enemies are less concise with their search. The animation especially the CQC, they went for more truer approach but this can be smoothed out more (not everything in the remake needs to be exact, personal gripe, but copying the animation issues from the original not a great move). Needs more graphics modes and better optimization, unreal engine 5 is cool but it feels like people are still learning it, and it shows as games that came out years earlier can outshine it at times. I get this is cross platform title, but more improvements in graphically clarity and performance need to be addressed. Overall: Game is what I expected minus some technical and game mechanic gripes. It's definitely one to keep in collection and I will likely load this game up more than once. If they are to go the way of remakes at Konami (despite firing the man who made the series), I would prefer they learn from MGS4 and MGS5 and minimize the zoning loads. The return to Shadow Moses design and setup in MGS4 is exactly how I hope MGS1 remake will be done. The insane arctic environment, the overall capturing of the setting and the features to play music via codec etc should all be there. Please use CQC and wall cover mechanics from MGS4 or 5 (with ability to you know move faster).
