Compact size and bright light. Don't like the fact that the light and laser are no active at the same time. I have to flip the main switch. Not a deal breaker, though.

It is nice to have something that is not noticeable and yet usable for everyday use. Very inexpensive and yet durable. I am happy with it.

I would give it 5 stars except it has limited charge capacity: Turning on the flashlight with a full charge for a second and the charge light is red and takes 10 minutes to recharge to green. When I opened the box and read the directions I tried the zapper after switching it on and it worked, just to see it sparking for a fraction of a second was enough, but that meant someone else had charged the flashlight-zapper and probably discovered the same thing, that discharge is VERY quick while charging is really slow. The idea of a flashlight with a hidden zapper function is good. If I'm walking at night and someone wants to take my wallet I can at least use the flashlight (which sometimes is a deterrent by itself.) THEN, I can use the zapper if the conditions warrant that action. But the charge slips away so quickly if I use the flashlight at all the zapper might not be strong enough? After thinking about that for a while I purchased one of those USB power batteries as a bit of insurance. I can even keep it plugged in to the flashlight-zapper until use of the device, or as a bare-minimum be able to recharge it quickly. What these devices really need is a tiny meter that shows the PERCENTAGE of full-charge, so you don't try to use it and nothing happens. This is a very small thing and about the same size as other just-flashlights I can easily carry in my pocket, and lightweight. I would rather it was a little larger and heavier with a much bigger battery, but the other option is to get a bigger battery to plug it into.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS NONSENSE! I brought this item about two weeks ago (1/14/26). I charged the flashlight/taser and then tested both of them after the charging process. Both worked! The Taser didn’t seem too powerful but enough to scare someone off! After about a week, I charged and tested the flashlight/taser again, both worked! Today is the second week, I charger the flashlight/taser and this time, the taser portion didn’t work! I charged the device again and the taser portion still did NOT work!!!! This is just disappointing and unprofessional!!! What if my life depended on this device and it doesn’t work after only testing it two times? It not like I ever got to tase anything!!! But, now that I think about it, both Amazon and the seller knew this flashlight was NOT truly classified as a taser! What a way to make extra money by letting consumers to think they are purchasing a taser but, under false pretenses, they are really buying this broken, non-working flashlight pretending to be an taser!!!!! I say this because when I tried to buy a better quality taser, I wasn’t allowed to!! I got a message from Amazon saying that they couldn’t deliver that item to my address because tasers are banned from NYC (and some other states) due to NYS Penal Law - Code Section 265.01. I even tried using out of state relatives addresses and got the same message but, the flashlight pretending to be a taser had no restrictions!!!! It went right on through!!!! Do NOT waste your money on this item!!!! It will break before you even get to use it!!!!! Do NOT risk your personal safety on this item! Go to your local gun store to purchase one if possible.
