SmallRig 35" Bowens Mount Softbox Photography Lighting Kit, Quick Release

This 90cm softbox has quickly become one of my favorite lighting tools. The quick release design is excellent and it takes only seconds to go from folded in the bag to fully set up with a single click. Taking it down is just as fast which is a huge time saver during busy shoots. The build quality is impressive. Even though it is lightweight and compact it feels very sturdy thanks to the strong stainless steel ribs. When folded it is easy to carry and transport making it perfect for outdoor events location shoots and travel. The light quality is where this softbox truly stands out. The diffusion is even and natural and it preserves accurate color rendering. It produces flattering results for portraits and clean professional looking video without harsh shadows or hotspots. The standard Bowens mount works perfectly with my lights and the included storage bag is very convenient. Overall this softbox is well designed easy to use and a valuable addition to any photography or video setup. Highly recommended.

Every product I have purchased from SmallRig has been high quality, perfect for the application, and convenient and easy to use. From ND Filters, to Softboxes, Camera Cage, Matte Boxes, Follow Focus (Both manual and wireless), Shoulder Mount and more, every purchase has been great! This Softbox (I also have three more of this size and one 65 cm) assembles quickly and easily and is quite sturdy. The bowens mount fits several different lighting brands, and makes a really soft light. All SmallRig products are a great value for the money. I also recommend the SmallRig globe. All come in protective carry bags.

I bought this octagon softbox specifically to use with the bicolor video light I just picked up, and they make the absolute perfect pairing. The build quality is extremely impressive, featuring sturdy stainless steel ribs that hold up incredibly well during long shoots. The quick release design is a total game changer because it makes it so easy to put together and break down with just a single click. I highly recommend adding this to your kit if you want beautiful, soft lighting without the hassle of fighting with traditional softboxes.

As a video professional of many years, I've used softboxes of every sort. Some systems I paid hundreds of dollars for. But this Smallrig one is really ingenious! Saves your fingers and "pre threaded" so with just a couple of clicks it goes from flat to full. Cuts set up time down, and no one has to wrestle these softboxes into shape anymore. I'm slowly replacing all of my other sized softboxes with these from Smallrig, as they are a major improvement on something that honestly hasn't changed much in 25 years. Really well stitched and made, easy to store flat and compact, and quick to set up and strike. Again, I'm picky with all my gear, and this is just professional grade at a fraction of yesteryear's pricing. A no brainer buy.

Excellent build quality, easy to assemble and transport. The diffuser softens the light beautifully, producing flattering results for portraits and video shoots. The octagonal shape creates natural-looking catchlights, and light loss is minimal. The quick and secure mounting system makes it ideal for productions where frequent setup and breakdown are needed.

Deploys just as quick as an umbrella with slightly softer light. Also catches the wind less than an umbrella. Costs a bit more but it's also more durable so should end up a better value. I shoot portraits on the beach in Hawaii for 30 years so I have tried everything.

This is a really nice soft box a a good price. It works well and sets up easily. I would buy again.

Great product, well made. No problems at all mounting my speedlite. Perfect fit with my Godox speedlite bracket for Bowens. Love it! Looks great too! Oh, reasonable price too!

The quick-release mechanism is a game-changer, making assembly and disassembly swift and hassle-free. The Bowens mount compatibility ensures it fits seamlessly with my existing lights, including those from Godox and Neewer. The octagonal shape provides a beautiful, even light that’s perfect for portrait photography. The build quality is solid, and the materials feel durable, promising longevity. Overall, this softbox offers excellent value and performance for both amateur and professional.

Very low quality and cheap quality 😢
