Works. Blow Whistle. When dog comes, give a biscuit. After 5-6 times, works quickly.

Easy for an elderly person to blow
Got these for my mom who's 91 and she had no trouble blowing them and they are LOUD. We'll be able to tell if she needs help in another part of the house.
