Very nice set to have purchased, instructions are well laid out, very informative, easy to follow and keep track of your first starter. I really appreciate the examples, and the cook book is full of things to try. The system is easy to set up and keep track from the first day. The glass pitcher that is used to start your yeast is of the finest quality. The spatula works perfectly, everything is of great quality. The entire product is fantastic. Really nice to own and use. Really look forward to years of use.

The Ayerphalo Sourdough Starter Kit really rocks! All of the equipment is of high quality. I received everything as advertised very quickly. So quickly, that on my third day of the starter, the starter had expanded. I've provided some pictures to show the growth of the starter on the third day. Included of course, is a 50+ sourdough recipe book plus a internet link template for progress and baking sheets that you can print out. It has all my favorites and more, such as recipes for sourdough pizza, rolls, cinnamon rolls, tortilla/burrito shells, hamburger/hot dog buns, cakes, cookies, and pie; just to name a few. I spoke with a friend who has been making sourdough bread for 20 years, and is currently taking classes from a chef. All the advise and tips she was giving me was already in the Ayerphalo instructions recipe book. I like the pictures and step-by-step instructions. They are easy to follow. Check out their description for further details. If you want to eat healthy, you can start by making your own bread instead of store bought processed bread which has added chemicals. My starter will be ready in a couple of days to start making sourdough bread! After that, pizza, after that....

It came with everything I needed to get started — all the tools were included, and the added recipe book was such a wonderful bonus. As someone learning sourdough, having clear guidance made all the difference. What truly set this company apart, though, was their customer service. I have stored my sourdough starter in plastic and wanted to change to a glass container. My ball jars are either too small for the volume of the starter/growth or have a curved top so they are harder to clean well. I bought one of these amazing Ayerphalo glass starter jars and after using it briefly, bought two more (Yes, I have three different starters). They are very easy to use, store, clean, and they look pretty on my shelf when my starter is active. The little recipe book is good. I had difficulty with one recipe and contacted by email customer support; surprisingly I had a good response within hours. I really like the red rubber cap for longer storage in my refrigerator, and the cloth cap works great when my starter is active. The thick rubber band helps me know the rise of the starter. The temperature sticker has been helpful for me to find a good, warm place to keep the active starter. All of the components that come with this kit are helpful. All are good quality. I highly recommend this company and product. My only concern is that the jars are a bit tall so they don’t fit on my to shelf in the refrigerator; not a big problem, the three jars are in a lower shelf. I don’t think a more shallow jar would work as well, so I have just rearranged my shelves.

This is a very good kit for anyone starting out who wants something more than mason jars and spoons. Personally I find the glass jar too big since I only make one loaf at a time. The fabric cover and the band measure work well. The markings on the side of the jar helps keep track the growth of the starter. I didn’t find the temperature sticker very helpful since it’s not very accurate. I was a bit nervous when using and washing the jar due to the glass being on the thin side, certainly not thick like a mason jar glass thickness. I like the silicone bottom which can be used as a lid but keep in mind that it’s pretty tight if you’re looking to vent. The jar is quite large and takes up a bit of space in the fridge so overall, wide mouth mason jars are better suited for me. I love the spatula (which is really a spurtle with a flat tip) because it’s great scraping the sides of the jar as well as mixing. The small plastic measuring cup is nice and easy to store. Can’t speak to the recipes that comes in the kit since I have tried and true recipes that I already use. If I ever need to make more than two loafs at one time, I would certainly use this jar for my starter.

Great set. The perfect size to store in the refrigerator and feed starter for baking without being too big. Easy to clean. The spatula is great for scraping bowls or the jar. Really nice quality. Recipe book is a nice added bonus.

I really loved this sourdough starter kit! It comes with everything you need to get started—jar, thermometer, spatula, measuring cup, and even a helpful cookbook. I love the starter jar and other utensils but the cookbook has a lot of errors and mis prints. Beware, especially for beginners, as I was when I purchased this. Note in the photo that this a "discard recipe" but the first line says to feed and use when double or triple. Then in the recipe later it says to use discard and in the ingredient list it has discard. The English muffin recipe is also wrong with milk AND water etc. Buyer beware!! A lot of errors.

Soy principiante en este arte de hacer pan de masa madre, Me gustó mucho el kit por el contenido básico pero aprecio muchísimo la guía paso a paso para lograr el starter. Hay muchas opiniones del tema, pero este kit me dio la confianza.con las instrucciones. Y ahora estoy en el camino. Gracias!
