NETGEAR N300 Wireless N Router

This Netgear N300 Single-band router works perfectly. There are two features about this router that I really appreciate. First, I like that it only broadcasts 2.5G, since I am avoiding exposure to 5G. Second, I like that this router has a button in back of it that turns off Wifi, so that I am exposed to less EMF while I sleep. This router gives me peace of mind!

I bought the same thing from Best Buy for $39.99. Even after I had made my selection, the check out lady was really rude and told me I was buying a trash router. She asked me my needs/uses for the think I shared with her that I need the router for a smart TV, a laptop, a tablet and a phone. Rarely do we use all the gadgets at once. I explained to her that I'm not a gamer and that I hadn't had trouble streaming movies from apps that came with smart TV including Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. The lady continued to explain how many people were returning this brand/level of router as I tried to pay and get print receipt option. When I went home, I thought about my shopping experience and went online to find the same router for $14. I ordered the thing that moment. I returned the $40 version from Best Buy the next morning, and the router I ordered was delivered in the specified time. It works without fail. Again, I don't do whatever it is people do with all the bandwidth. I have a limited amount of devices and my tech needs are very basic--email, moves, music, browsing the web for work and shopping.

I keep saying I'll never buy another piece of Netgear equipment, and I keep falling for it. This thing never worked the way it's supposed to. I got it out and got it set up with no trouble, and in two days it quit working and I never managed to get it set up again. I'm an above-average computer user, accustomed to troubleshooting, and this thing completely defies all logic. Don't waste your money.

Easy to set up, works exactly as expected

It's worked fine for over a year, through two levels of wood floor.

I dislike the product Netgear N300 cuz the product I purchased doesn't work well for my desktop & the tech support couldn't figure out how to work the system for the product that I purchased. I was thinking about returning the product & get different product.

It did not work. I was having my computer and all hooked up (just moved) and the technician said it was broken and I should return it. Do I need to get a special mailing label to do this??
