Saw blades not appropriate for firmness of wax

You need much more to really make jewelry, but this small collection of tools leads you in the right direction. I especially like the wax hole reamer. The saw is a bit weak, and you need to buy twisted saw blades made for wax. The saw blades that come with the kit are for metal. The wax file is also really nice.

•Jeweler saw: fine, hard to tighten but works fine •Saw blades: the worst blades ever, incredibly thin and broke 4 just trying to cut straight through wax, first order came covered in grease so returned and reordered •Calipers: terrible, its made of plastic and does not lock up so it will slide around •Compass: terrible, first order came with the tip super bent, second order came with the two legs not aligning, besides the asymetrical legs, when you loosen the screw, the legs do not open unless you manually pull them apart •Clamp and Wood Stand: works as intended •Wax: works as intended •Inside ring carver: works as intended, first order came covered in grease so returned and reordered •File: works as intended, first order came covered in grease so returned and reordered If I could go back, I would not make this purchase and buy all these items separately. Even if the cost of buying the items separately is higher, I am finding that I have to replace the unusable items anyways (I am buy new calipers, compass, and saw blades).

This product is not as bad as some of the reviews are saying if you have a base knowledge of jewelry making this pack works great on a budget. the only reason for 4 stars is they include metal cutting saw blades and not spiral blades which is used for wax cutting

Like it alot , haven't worked with it yet but can't wait to start!!

Some of these items are fine, but the saw was pretty poor quality. Good for a beginner set but you’ll need to upgrade items pretty quickly if you are getting into jewelry making
