I'd tried the disc for a couple of days before getting this. The first time I put it in it was fine, second time it leaked, and then I was just paranoid when using it that it wasn't in right. It felt like it could very easily slip out of place, hence the leak. I ordered this thinking it would just make it easier to put in, but the first time I used it was an "Oooooh!" moment. I hadn't been shoving it far enough back. When I put it in with the applicator it was very obviously secure.It is like putting in a large tampon. It feels a bit weird when it pops out so far back, but it's easier than pushing it in manually. I've seen other reviews saying it is difficult to push, but I've used the large and medium pixie discs in it and both were slightly stiff at first, but slid along fine once they started moving.I think now knowing where it should be I could potentially do it myself, but I actually prefer using the applicator. Seeing as the disc only needs changing twice a day it's not like I need to carry it around, but it's pretty compact so I could if I wanted.Definitely recommend for new disc users!

I think the product makes it easier to fit the discs and does work like a tampon applicator. It works best with the smaller disc. I have struggled to get it to work with the larger disc at the moment, doesn’t seem to push through well.

I am using the Shordy discs and this works. I wanted to use it before leaving a review. It works with both the small and the large disc. It’s easier with the small disc because it’s small and fits better. Even though it takes a little more effort with the large disc, it does the job. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to start using the disc. I just switched from the Shordy cup to the disc and this has been very helpful.

I had high hopes for this but really disappointed, especially as it was £20 for something I'll never use again. The design is neat, and clever, however there are issues.Such as the end when it's being inserted kinda punches a little regardless sod how much lube you use.Then there's the trying to insert and push the disc right in, it becomes so slippy and you lose grip because of the lube (that you absolutely need to use) and it means I caught an dnipped myself several times trying to get this is erted right.I find the width uncomfortable to deal with, I find Tampax similarly uncomfortable to insert and they're easier than this.It still doesn't manage to push the disc in enough and you still have to push it up to tick it behind and therefore I feel it's completely useless.I don't recommend this. It's a great idea but been executed poorly.

Had high hopes for this. I have a high cervix, and while I have been using discs for a long time, it can be a bit of struggle to make sure I get them high enough/far enough back. This is product is a faff to use and clean, but expected that and figured it might be worth if it worked really well. Unfortunately, even if you follow all the instructions, the edges of the end the disc comes out of are very sharp and hurt. I even gave it a second go, making sure I had plenty of the disc sticking out the end first, and those sharp edges still got me. For anyone that has had the plastic applicator on a tampon go a bit wrong and pinch/scratch them - this is that x 10, as it’s bigger. Also, think it will prob damage disc over time due to this if used repeatedly. Will def not be using again as it left me sore after being scratched.Edit:Just realised I can’t review the kit separately. Some parts of the kit are good - like the bag, the cleaning container, lube and wipes. Wash is ok for disc, but not sure I would use it on the body for that area. Discs themselves are not for me. Both leaked, and I think this was a lot to do with the rim of the discs not being level, as well as the oval shape. I also have very little confidence in the silicone ‘string’. I had to tuck it up quite high to prevent irritation, which had me a little worried. But my main concern was that it really felt like it could snap very easily, it stretches far too much. I rely heavily on the removal aid on discs, so it needs to be reliable and secure. I had seen other people have the string snap on this one, but wanted to try it for myself due to wanting to try some different sizes of discs. These ones are def not for me.Between the applicator and the kit, been a bit of an expensive experiment with little left to show for it.Back to Hello disc it is.

Gets the disc into the correct position.Very difficult to push through, pinches your skin incredibly easily.

Have been using a disc for a while before I ordered this with intermittent success due to not placing it correctly. The applicator has been revolutionary. Correct placement every time and has made such a difference to my confidence when using a disc. Highly recommend if you’re not confident at placing your disc manually.

Definitely a life saver, just some discs are too large to put in the applicator. The flex disc works fine.
