I've ordered several of these over the years, and they work great up until they break, which has been consistently about a year mark for me. I avoid using the dishwasher for this item, as one break happened in there, and another was from the glue separation of the plastic and glass likely caused by using the dishwasher many times on the product. The last one to break was somewhere inside the molding and it leaked half of the hot water I poured in onto the table. Which isn't to say that. otherwise. this product doesn't do grand. It pours reasonably well, looks very classy and overall holds up, and can take a lot of water. In the end though, it is glass fused to a plastic base, and is prone to degradation from that, but the cost of the item is cheap enough that you should be able to happily enjoy this teapot until you fall in love with something more spendy and sophisticated. I just consider the yearly re-purchase of this teapot as a reminder to research what I really should be drinking good teas out of. In my opinion, it out-performs its price point.

The infuser doesn't reach down far enough. If you want to make one cup, don't bother. The glass "bowl" doesn't come out of the plastic holder. But dirt, water, soap can get between there. I gave three stars because it is stylish and I've brewed tea with it. But its just a show piece to me at this point. The mesh isn't as easy to clean as suggested. You can get to the openly visible mesh. Now try to get into the area where the metal is folded along the bottom of the infuser. I bought a couple as gifts. Never again.

Nice product, but the infuser is the only beneficial feature. And this should not be called a teapot. Its a tea steeper. I purchased it to replace a smaller glass teapot that cracked and broke. I assumed there was a mechanism that would allow you to remove the glass pot from the black plastic holder perhaps, since you cannot actually brew tea on the stove like a traditional teapot. Obviously the plastic would melt and burn. So you need a separate, real teapot or tea kettle for that. Then you would pour that hot water or tea into this vessel, assuming it's just a bit more aesthetically pleasing and you would use it for entertaining purposes. Again, it is only a good value if you are taking advantage of the infuser by adding already heated water from another source.

Years of use, not broken. Fine tea particulates will get through the strainer.

I love this teapot! It's excellent for brewing a few cups of tea and I love being able to see it brewing. It does need a tea cozy as it cools down rather quickly. I'm hard on glassware and this has held up well over the past month and a half. I know some people don't like the plastic part covering some of the glass, but I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I haven't broken this yet! Tea comes out tasting fantastic and it's easy to clean. Wonderful!

It is so awesome, exactly what I was after. Loose leaf tea to dream of, keeps lots of water, keeps it hot for long time, and no dripping everywhere when you pour your tea. Highly recommend.

Buena tetera. De buenos materiales y durables. El tamaño es grande como para hacer té para varias personas. Para hacer poco té no es práctica, pues el filtro no llega hasta el fondo y no se puede poner poca agua.
