It works, if using the proper mode and proper placement.
I have to say that I do not have anything negative to say about this device. I ordered 3 for different areas of my yard to repel foxes and it did work. When I saw a fox stepping into my from yard getting close enough to the sensor, they would immediately run the other direction. After the foxes seems to lease our neighborhood after last Winter I noticed we now had skunks around which we previously had but they left when the foxes came to town. I changed the mode on the device from mode 1 to mode 2 for skunks and they are no longer cutting across my yard. I see them across the street sometimes, but they avoid my yard. I also keep it on the highest frequency. Just a note: Some people can hear them, I nor my husband can hear the sound the device makes, but 3 people that visit our home told me they can hear them and it sounds like a high pitched ringing sound. None of my neighbors have complained though so that's good.

Been up for 2 days and not one squirrel so far. I set them on #2 for now and it seems to be working great. Will update if it changes

If I could give these a negative rating, I certainly would. Within 24 hours of receiving these, all four would not work as described. None of the lights flash on either of my units and the only mode that works is mode five and it is a true racket, It will wake up the dead. The sensitivity dial is absolutely useless as well with these units. I do not recommend anyone buying one. I will return these and try with another type of deterrent.

Might deter neighbors too!
Having a home in the forest can be an amazing experience, but sometimes the critters that lurk are not welcome. I decided to order these solar-powered ultrasonic animal repellents to see if I can protect my roses from the javelina and keep the pack rats from getting under my vehicle.Product Features:Charging Options: They charge up with USB or solar, providing flexibility and ensuring they stay powered even in less sunny conditions.Ease of Use: The devices are easy to put in place, requiring minimal effort to set up.Adjustable Settings: There are 5 modes and volume knobs to choose your needed frequencies.User Experience:Mode Selection: I would advise against using the voice mode (3) or the all-frequencies mode (5). These settings could lead to noise complaints from neighbors, which might not only disrupt your peace but could also jeopardize your social invitations to BBQs and other gatherings.I will have to report back about the efficacy of these once I have more data. My plants need to grow back first, so it will take some time to see if the repellents effectively deter the javelina and pack rats. Stay tuned for an update!
