Excellent and Unique
This was the first organic black bean spaghetti that I had ever eaten. It was awesome! It tasted good with pasta sauce and was much healthier than traditional pasta. Instead of being full of carbs it was full of protein.

Re-ordering now
Love this product, great taste healthy. I know I’m reviewing late, but I’m glad I did for some reason. I just forgot all about it now I’m gonna re-order.

Interesting at first, but overall great!
This stuff does NOT taste like spaghetti like some claim. I am a food fanatic, and a rather overall healthy eater so health food isn't a turn off for me. But I just want to give an accurate description of how this stuff really tastes (both texture and flavor). There isn't much flavor to the noodles, a very weak spaghetti taste with a TINY TINY bean taste, let me emphasize tiny. You have to sit there and truly try to find the bean taste, and even then its not bad at all. The overall taste was as if you had chewed one black bean then ate some bland spaghetti. Now on to the texture: The texture is no where close to spaghetti, but it is not off-putting either. It WILL throw you for a loop if you're expecting spaghetti texture. The noodles are spongy, and slightly soft, but NOT soggy! If you're into healthy food, gluten free, or just looking for a healthier alternative to regular spaghetti, you have found your product. This is my new go to, with the amount of protein, fiber, and overall nutrition content, you can't go wrong. But do not be mad if you get this thinking it's exactly like spaghetti, because you will be disappointed. If you go into this with an open mind as an alternative to spaghetti, you will be very pleased!

Great low-carb substitute for spaghetti!
This pasta is really weird, but good! We avoid refined and processed foods as a general rule of thumb and splurge on brown rice pasta now and then. Honestly, I expected this pasta to be really gross. it's amazingly made of 100% black beans. And I thought maybe the nutrition facts were a misprint! So much protein and fiber, it has to be gross right? Wrong. It was surprisingly good. Don't order this thinking it's going to taste anything like regular spaghetti, you have to figure you're eating a totally different type of pasta. Actually, my daughter just corrected me, it tastes similar to wheat spaghetti but the texture is different. It's chewier. We had it with marinara sauce and turkey meatballs and everybody really liked it. This is a really good deal. At $4 a bag it's half the retail price and it makes a lot of pasta that is very, very filling. You really don't need to eat as much of it because it's so protein/fiber dense.

… different…
Ok, so, I thought it was cool that they were black. Not gonna lie. They turn a dark brown once cooked though, fyi. I was hoping for a wheatless alternative with some actual NUTRITIVE VALUE in it… but.. I just don’t think I could replace regular pasta this way. I love black beans, I do, but … maybe just as black beans? Idk. The flavor was… different .. and that’s the best description I can manage. I think if black beans are your absolute all-time favorite food, maybe this is the thing for YOU. Maybe. I didn’t use this for regular spaghetti or with an Alfredo (which might be better, honestly) but rather with a tomato based rendition of what I know as Fidéo. (Pronounced “fee-THEY-oh”) I figured that since black beans are a savory bean that lends its flavor to many Tex-Mex dishes and salsas, perhaps it’d be safest to lean that way Vs. towards the Italian or Asian… but even though I’m really heavy handed with the Cumin and lime and garlic, I still found that I needed to add cheese and sour cream and salsa and some homemade guacamolé for it to really be palatable TO ME. However, I did use grass fed/finished ground beef instead of steak as this is what I had on hand and after I’d already begun preparing the sauce and started the noodles I discovered I was out of celery salt…😰… but I made do. It turned out mostly edible as long as you didn’t run out of ANY of the aforementioned ‘toppings’… but it’s not something I would give another go to… I might come back once more and give these a shot with a mushroom, chicken, garlic and Marsala infused Alfredo though and if I do, I’ll post an edit to say how it went. Definitely…. Different …

The Holy Grail of IIFYL
STOP READING THIS REVIEW AND ADD THIS TO YOUR CART!! I was so excited to get this in the mail, as the macros look fantastic (TWENTY FIVE GRAMS OF PROTEIN AND TWELVE GRAMS OF FIBER), but I was interested to see how it tastes. And OH MY GOSH I have found my new favorite [minimally] processed product. It is SO GOOD. Yes, it definitely tastes like black beans, but it isn't so strong that it competes with the taste of what you top it with. The only downside is the cost. It's a little more than $2 per serving, but I would argue that it's worth it. Will definitely buy again!

Weird Texture-Tasteless
I was so hopeful with this product, as my hubby has a condition we have to eat anti-inflammatory foods with. It looked great in cooking, and separated well. Unfortunately, it was almost tasteless and a weird texture. I'm normally a VERY adventurous eater, but could not eat this. Hubby gave me the toddler look and shook his head saying "Nope.".

Expensive but I like these a lot
Good noodles made with good ingredients. They soften nicely and is a good angel hair noodle substitute. That said, good lord is it expensive.

Love the product, but the vendor put no effort into packing it safely.
Let me clarity: I like the item (I've bought it before) but the company I bought it from packed it shabbily, and it arrived all broken into tiny bits. Not usable as spaghetti at all. Not happy. :-(
