Loop Engage 2 Plus Ear Plugs - Noise Relief with Clear Speech + Mute

I have sensitive hearing, and in the past I've used earplugs that I found uncomfortable and that didn't fit me at all. I'd given up on finding something that worked for me, when a friend told me about Loop. I did a LOT of research online, these earplugs are not cheap throw-aways. Eventually I took the plunge. I was happy to see that there were different sizes (I have small ear passages), and I specifically chose the type of Loop that is designed for different sound levels. The earplugs arrived promptly, very well (and attractively) packaged. I carefully put one in, a twist to get it settled and I was very happy how well it fit. With both in I was astonished how much the sound around me was muted. I tried them with the insert on and it worked as promised, muting the sound even more. I like that the earplug sits pretty flush to the ear, I've napped with them on and had no issues with comfort even though I sleep on my side. Removing the earplug is very easy, just another slight twist and a pull. I like the little case that comes with them, it holds the earplugs securely and so far hasn't opened accidentally. I wouldn't feel comfortable attaching the case to my keyring or exterior of any handbag, though. That could just be me. I've used the earplugs at the theatre, babysitting my friend's toddler who is cute but loud, in the grocery store, in planes, at coffee shops. I'm really happy that I can select how much volume I want muted, from almost complete silence to dulling loud noises. They're comfortable enough to wear for long stretches of time and easy to remove in a second if I need to talk to someone. Some people complained that the earplugs made their breathing very noticable. It's true, and the sudden shock lack of external noise seems to highlight it. I was super motivated to push through it because I really suffer without earplugs, but I also thought the breathing noises were natural and easy to ignore. A few hours in I didn't notice them at all and on subsequent days I felt it was negligible. I'd also like to mention that the earplugs are pretty discreet. I have clear ones, and even with the black mute ring attached they are unnoticeable. There are plenty of vibrant colors if you want to accessorize with the earplugs, and their interesting design make them look fun. I wish I'd had these earplugs years ago. They reduced my stress levels a lot.

I have anxiety in noisy spaces. So flying has always been stressful. A friend recommended them and so I bought a pair. The next time I had to fly, my anxiety was almost non-existent. I like that they have a convenient carrying case. and they also have inserts to reduce the noise even further. They are very sturdy. have a variety of sizes and have both silicon and foam for the actual ear insert. You can wear them to sleep in, however the one caution I have for that is wear a headband that covers your ears to keep them in place overnight.

3 month update: I still love these! We went on a trip for Thanksgiving and my spouse forgot his cpap machine; he knew he was going to sleep poorly but also apologized because he knew his snoring would keep me up at night. Fortunately I had my Loops in my purse! The case is so small I had forgotten they were in there, but these little guys saved my sleep -- I didn't sleep in complete silence, but it was enough noise cancellation that I was able to fall and stay asleep and ignore the snoring. I have also used them many times at home and at work for those days when I am extra sensitive to sounds and it has saved my sanity multiple times. For people who say these don't work, I'd recommend going to the Loop website and looking at the different features of each style of Loop. These are specifically designed to fade out the sound (moreso if you use the white mutes inside the plugs) and make it sound more distant. The Engages are not the ones you would want for sleeping or if you wanted complete silence. The thing I like the best about them is, unlike other ear plugs, I don't have to listen to my own voice echoing in my head because I find the feedback loop distracting. I work in an office with a very loud coworker and these mute him just enough that I don't have to listen to his conversations and can focus on my work but I can have a conversation with someone just fine. These fit very well in my ear and offer a lot of options for tips. They are undetectable in my ears, and I can keep them in for a full 8 hours at work with no problems. The carrying case is very small, maybe the size of a half dollar so easy to carry but also easy to lose. I wouldn't feel comfortable using the carrying loop to hook to my bag or anything because I'm not sure how sturdy it is. Are these overpriced? Maybe, but I they are exactly what I was looking for.

I have an unknown cochlear/trigeminal issue at the moment, and one of the intermittent issues I have is hyperacusis - my ear will become hypersensitive to low-frequency sounds. This means something like a cutting board set down on a counter will be very painful, but whacking on that same counter with wooden spoons will have very little effect. Something as light as tossing a paper cup into a trash bin can hurt, if it happens to hit a lower frequency upon contact. Anyway, I have foam earplugs, and those actually work quite well, so I had hopes for these. However, for some reason they don't work very well for me. The silicon and the foam both hardly cut down on the low frequencies (which are notoriously difficult to block) and worse, they reflect internal sounds, like chewing or clicking the teeth together, making them painful whereas before they were not. When my condition is bad I can't even eat regular chocolate M&Ms without pain. Yet I don't have this issue with cheap foam earplugs. But excepting when the condition is very bad these do help by blunting most sounds. I've worn these, sometimes, for hours and had no issue. I've tried both with and without the inner ring and there's not much difference, though it is detectable. They are comfortable in-ear for a while, though eventually the ear begins to ache a bit at the contact point. For me, this took hours to manifest. They are easy to insert and remove, and they stay in place. In terms of appearance - when I started wearing foam earplugs I didn't want people to see them and ask about them, but as I trim mine so they don't protrude, I have had no remarks. No one has said anything about when I wear these either. I checked in the mirror and they look fine, I think the ring shape helps give them a coherent visual form, which - in a world where many people wear wireless earbuds - makes them look normal. So if you are self-conscious as I used to be about these things, it's probably fine. You can't see them at all from most angles, and when you can see them, they don't attract attention. I think they are at least worth a try. I use mine rarely, but still keep them in my work bag, just in case my condition starts to act up, and they are very small and very easy to carry around. The case is nice and compact, you could fit it nearly anywhere you needed.

I needed a no-battery backup earplug for concerts, since ANC devices aren't always perfect, especially with high bass (you can get clipping). These have been working well so far, with the mute giving me the high level of noise blocking I want. Comfortable so far, with multiple tips, and it sounds much better than the standard foamies. I appreciate the flexibility in a single compact tool.

Went on multiple 3-hour walking tours in Europe with these in and the effectiveness isn’t just great, it’s perfect. I could hear the tour guide perfectly and it dampened all of the unwanted noise (even a jackhammer that the guide himself was getting visibly mad at) that usually makes me an irritable witch by the end of tours. Who knew this was the answer all along. The small size was making my ear itch because of the friction but the extra small is perfect! Love that it comes with a huge range of sizes and you don’t have to pay more to get what you need.

I have been using Loop ear plugs for years. They offer just the right amount of noise cancelation. Really great for those who are sensitive to sound. They are extremely comfortable. They fit perfectly in your ear (and they include several different sizes.) They come with a nifty (and stylish) carrying case. I highly recommend.

Pros - Absolutely love these for taking the edge off of electronic sounds. I have days when I’m super sensitive to speakers and such. These help SO much. I use them at lectures, and love them for zoom meeting or even music in the car. Very comfortable in my ears. Can wear for a good while. I like that the clear option blends in. Cons - I do not like these for conversations. When talking, it feels like I’m wearing headphones. Echoey and not sure how loud to speak. For regular talking I can’t hear people well. I have to take one in and out. Summary - I’m really happy I got them! I go to lectures and am on zoom a lot and love them for this! But I was hoping that since I live with a bunch of people these would help in situations of multiple conversations going on + a video on someone’s phone playing + the tv being on… they do not for me.

Just wore them my first day. Comfort: I don't wear earbuds so it was a good test for comfort as my ears are totally not used to this. After wearing them about 8 hours straight I have only minor discomfort that I only notice when putting them in or taking them out. And that could be from all the playing with them I've done. I'm sure my ears will get used to them very soon. Staying In Place: They stay in very well. I tried the Vibes before and after a couple hours my ear canal would get sweaty and they would fall out just enough to break the seal and render them uselss. The fact the Loops are held in by your external ear dips and bumps means they really stay put well. Also, because they don't rely on your ear canal to stay in, they don't go in as deep, which I also appreciate. dB Reduction: If noise cancelling headphones are like blindfolds, these are like sunglasses. Just like sunglasses take away the harshness of the light but still let you see everything, these Loops take away the harshness of the noises around you while still letting you hear what you need to. I found without the Mute plugs in they weren't quite quiet enough for me. With the Mute plugs in it is a better suppression of background noise and I can still hear people just fine. I guess if I had a really quiet client I could take the Mute plugs out and still get some benefit. I work in a physiotherapy clinic where there is fair amount of background noise from machines and people talking. I'm always talking to people within a meter or two of me. Without the Mute plugs I could totally see these being beneficial for, like, a lecture where you're trying to decrease the minor sound of the HVAC and rustling papers or clicking keys but still need to make out the words of the professor way at the front of the room. At home they help me tune out the dishwasher, washing machine, fans, etc. Again, it's just "dimming" the harshest aspects of the sound, you can totally still hear it, it's just way less "grating". I would kind of say they're like a thin blanket on a cold night - you definitely still feel cold, and it almost feels like it's not doing anything, but if you take it off you instantly realize how much colder you are without it. When wearing these in a noisy environment, I almost feel like they're barely doing anything... until I take them out! I would recommend these for when you need to hear quiet talkers or people speaking from a distance while dimming annoying but mostly quieter sounds like HVAC systems or clicking keyboards. If you're in a noisier environment speaking to people who talk at normal or slightly raised volume when they're right next to you, putting the Mute plugs in is great, but you could also go with a Loop model that has more dB reduction if you never have the quiet/distant talker in a quieter environment. Case: the case is nice and compact. The Loops are held in in form-fitting holders, so if you were to accidentally open the case upside down they won't fall out - nice touch! It also means they aren't rattling around in the case, which was something I was worried about. It would be nice if there was some way of keeping the Mute plugs in the case. There's currently no way to do that unless the Loops themselves aren't in there.

What they don't tell you: Wear supportive shoes unless you want to hear each of your own footsteps like you're walking on a drum Getting used to the volume of your own voice being significantly disproportionate to everything else takes time. The dampener rings seal so well that you feel a pressure change when you use them. I'm honestly impressed by how it feels calmer being in malls or big noisy spaces.

Ze zijn best fijn, en ik keek op YouTube en andere reviews dat je je eigen stem hoorde en best boomie klonk maar valt echt reuzen mee. Ik heb dit gehaald om dat als ik overprikkeld ben en een lange dag heb gehad, dat mijn oren slecht tegen luiden geluiden tegen kunnen vooral als ik me muziek hard zet in de auto dan ruis het voor die milliseconden en dat is niet oké. Maar effe wennen en met deze oortjes heb ik dat niet meer. Tuurlijk ga je niet zo makkelijk gesprek voeren als iemand zacht praat maar normalen dingen of activiteiten of muziek a concert of iets degelijk luids zijn dit goed genoeg. En het verbaast me ook dat ze bass of lage tonen goed doorheen laten want daar heb ik juist geen last van, ik heb meer last van hoge tonen en luiden dingen en deze oortjes dempen dat goed genoeg. Net op dat sweet spot dat het nog gwn oké klinkt. Ik ben blij en zou dit zeker nog een x kopen of een andere oortjes van loop proberen. Het helpt echt. En ik schaam me er niet voor om met zo’n ding in mijn oor te rijden of als ik in een luide omgeving ben. Want het belangrijkste is dat je voor jezelf kiest en doet wat goed is voor je. En dit doet dat. Dikke duimpje omhoog, succes met lezen iedereen, want ja wie leest mijn review lol

I ordered two loop earplugs a year ago: the Quiet 2 for sleeping and the Engage Plus 2 I that keep on my keychain for when I'm out and about. Recently I lost my Loop Engage 2 plus earplugs and was upset/distressed that I did not have them anymore. But then realised that these are the first long-term reusable earplugs I've had that I was rather happy with. So I placed another order. I highly recommend as they are comfortable to wear, easy to bring with you, and do a great job of filtering out background sounds. There's a variety of tip sizes so you can rest assured they will fit you just right.

cumplen su funcion y para algunos como nosotros simplemente nos cambia la vida, en nuestro caso no sabiamos cuales elegir si los engage o los experience, pero definitivamente hicimos la eleccion correcta, creo que si lo que buscamos es proteccion en conciertos los experience y si solo eres autista estos son los indicados ya que regularmente los autistas no vamos a fiestas menos a conciertos., por el tema de la calidad la silicona de lo tapones es muy buena, es de grado medico lo cual lo convierte en hipoalergenico, los recomiendo al 100% pareciera que solo se escucharan las voces en una platica o simplemente se escucha solo lo necesario, todo el ruido simplemente desaparece, solo es cuestion de guardar la memoria por unas dos hora y ya despues ni se sienten y lo mejor es que no dejamos de escuchar incluso nosotros los probamos en casa y son excelentes creo que saliendo a la calle simplemente ya no saldremos sin ellos, solo les digo que el ruido contamina y nos lleva a la distraccion lo cual cansa por 2 razones, primera la distraccion cansa porque a su vez se acompaña de la frustracion y la segunda pero no menos importante es el estres que nos genera el ruido a algunas personas sean nuerotipicas o no.
