Dremels are the real thing - a solid rotary tool that gets the job done.
Dremel's rotary tools offer real quality. I've used and looked at some of the competition and Dremels are simply better designed and built than anything else I've seen. I used my last Dremel really hard for two decades and literally wore it out. It lasted longer than I had any right to expect. The new 4000 is even better than my original one.

Good product though expensive
Though on the expensive end due to branding, it is a great product for carving and everyday normal usage. Powerful motor but do not compare it with bigger motors. Prolonged usage can be exhausting without the extension shaft due to its weight while carving.

The absolute gold standard for DIY—smooth, powerful, and built like a tank
If you've ever struggled with underpowered rotary tools, picking up the Dremel 4000 is night and day. Compared to my old rotary tool, the power on this one is awesome—it glides through projects without bogging down or stalling out. Right out of the case, the quality of the materials is obvious. It has a great ergonomic shape and a reassuring weight—solid and heavy enough to feel extremely durable without causing arm fatigue during detail work. The cord is also plenty long, giving you great reach around your workspace without constantly getting in your way or tugging at your hand. What really sets this 2/32 kit apart is the incredible value for money. It comes loaded with plenty of starter pieces and accessories right out of the box, so you can jump straight into cutting, sanding, grinding, or polishing without making an extra trip to the hardware store. Whether you're working on quick household fixes or detailed craft projects, it delivers total precision and serious power. It’s an absolute staple that pays for itself on the very first project.
