Slicker Than Your Average

This album shows progression from Born To Do It. The album has a fun side to it but still has a similar style of seeking some kind of affection on particular tracks like What's Your Flava, similar in perspective to Rendezvous on the first album. It is a great album but I'm yet to listen to his other albums to see whether they surpass the greatness of Born To Do It.

After waiting so long for Craig to return to these shores and release another album, I had begun to wonder whether he'd be able to top my expectations. After all, Born To Do It was an exceptionally good album. I needn't have worried. Craig David is on top form again. He's also managed to strike a delicate balance; he's not making more of the same, but he's not made a radical departure from his prior album. His basic style is the same, but with variances that give this album it's fine sheen. And the sheer quality of the songs is amazing. A collaboration with Sting gives it a nice selling point and an excellent song. The beautiful "You Don't Miss Your Water" is a beautiful ballad, "Spanish" has a wicked beat and some excellent lyrics, and "Slicker Than Your Average" really is. An excellent, excellent album.

Lockdown has provided an opportunity to fill in any 'missing' albums from the CD collection. Not quitell sure how I missed this one! Not disappointed.

I bought this as I had lost a previous CD with "rise & fall" on it (a favourite). I loved this CD too.... some new tracks to me like "fast cars" & "hands up"..... Craig's usual brilliance!

Yo, check it to all you Ganstas, Huslers, Pimps, Playa's, Hoes, Boys, Girls, Men, Wemon, anybody....... this is the illest cd your ever hear. I lisend to Craig David back when "fill me in" was da thing. Now, he's back and smash'en the Craig David fans with a real new sound. True, he hardly tours in the U.S. but this albem makes up for all that. Every song is off the hook **(like the dvd)** if you are wondering if you should pick this albem up the answer is hell yeah! Now im going to run down each song so you can get the fell of what Craig is trying to braing to you and yours....... 1) Slicker then your avrage - alsome, in your face, cant get with this, type song and he put a thigh rap in here too. 2) Whats your flavor - alsome song, this is about how he like them girls yah know vanilla, chocolat, toffy, .... vary up beat a ease one to get down with (ya know what i mean) 3) Fast cars- this one you wanna turn up while driven in your car. Thight new sound an complet with a bagen beat. 4) Hidden agenda - songs cool but i dont think it should have been a single. instead of this 1 I would have picked "Hands in the air". But still a thight "hey i saw him do this so wanna go out now" song. Haha get it. 5) Eenie meenie - my second fav. song this is a song that every guy has to go though but to my surpise no one up Craig sings about it. Its about a girl who is useing Craig for his money. This is for my boyz out there. A tight ass song 6)You dont miss you water - Love this song. Its slow and a nice song to get your girl by the hand and ya know, let the pimp juice start to flow. 7) Rise and fall - slow but a bangen song it tells his side of the story how fame is treating him. I love this song. 8) Presonal - haha this song is a romantic, but a love making song.all i gotta say is thanx craig this song is gansta. 9) Hands up in the air - hella right this song is bad ass. true. this song is my fav. song on this albem and it is tight. up beat real how i explane it. 10) 2 steps - this songs alright its not my fav but he put it down like always this is about how some relationships go in different directions 11) Spanish - alsome mexican style music and a alsome night for craig. he runs by atlest 4 girls in this song thigh ass rap too. 12) whats changed - love this song cause i can relate to it. ya know your in love and then your not. then you have to find out whats changed nice duet 13) world filled with love - love this song aswell but i wish it was ture. slow song but it shows his vocal skills. so thats the end of this review make sure you check out his web site @ [...] the uk one lets you buy some alsome shirts and stuff. yo craig if you read this can you please come to arizona in the usa cause you my idol and i bought your dvd off ebay 3 times (witch sucks i hate ebay) and every copy dosent work on amaricanized dvd players so i cant watch it. so i wanna see you live so come on bor please come. im your biggest fan i got posters, magizens, 2 dvds 9 singles and 4 full langth cds, records, shirts, jacket, cup, a book and i have hours of footage that i taped off tv. and can you see about trying to get more singles out in the us cause in the uk you relesed spanish, personal,world filled with love, rise and fall and pluss the two you relased in the us whats your flavor and hidden agenda. but i still got much love for you dogg. hope you take my advice your make alot of us fans happy. sorry for all you guys that hade to sit though that i hpe my reveiw was helpful. im out

「Born To Do It」は、彼のやさしくて綺麗な歌声が印象的でしたが、今回は何かちょっとワイルドな感じになりました。 逞しくなった感じがして、良いと思います。 1曲目は、これが2作目だ。うだうだ言わずに聴けって感じでいいです。 6曲目のYOU DON'T MISS YOUR WATER('TIL THE WELL RUNS DRY)は、彼のやさしい歌声と歌の巧さが出てていいです。 7曲目のRISE&FALLは、LEONのテーマ曲だったSTINGの「Shape Of My Heart」で、おおぅ！って感じです。STINGも頑張ってます。(笑) なんか何かの受け売りみいたいな文ですが、うだうだ言わずに聴くのが一番かと・・。

wunderbar СD!!!)))in den Läden diese besondere Version habe ich noch nicht zu treffen. Ich weiß, dass es diese Version, die wahr ist, um dem ursprünglichen Entwurf, und die Reihenfolge der Tracks ist.Besonders gefiel, dass die Festplatte neu und originalverpackt ist. Für mich persönlich ist dies sehr wichtig. Ich empfehle allen Fans von R & B Musik.
