These lights are great for camping! I love that they’re rechargeable, so we don’t have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. The string is a great length for hanging around the tent or campsite, and the different lighting modes are really fun and useful. They give off plenty of light at night without being too harsh. I also really like the quick-storage design because string lights can usually be a pain to pack back up. Compact, convenient, and definitely something we’ll be bringing on every camping trip!

So... last year one of my friends turned me onto using stringlights at camp while backpacking. I was skeptical but at work we had battery pack ones go on clearance for like 1.50c - 6ft nothing crazy lol. I really enjoyed it but don't like having to pack extra batteries. I won't use the other functions as I have a headlamp but its cool they're there. I also have some paracord on teh way that I can string from tree to tree and then run these along the paracord so that I have an inviting campground with light coming down from overhead and ensuring strain isn't put on the wires themselves (ensuring longevity) String lights are something that creates beautiful ambiance that brings a certain comfort to backpacking and camping. Worth the money.

I bought two of these for camping. They worked great for two months. Battery life lasted a few days, but now they barely last a single night. From being fully charged, these lights drain down to 1 bar in 4 hours. I really like the warm light they give off, but sadly disappointed by the battery life. Edit: I completely forgot to update this, but the company instantly reached out to me after my review. They offered a full refund; however, I wanted to give the company another chance so I asked for a replacement set and they were thankful for the the consideration and sent me replacement lights. The new ones hold a great charge--I get an average of 10-12 hours now. I've upgraded my rating from 3/5 to 5/5 due to the company's quick response and how they handled the situation. Customer support went above and beyond. I still stand by my original comment that these lights are great, especially for camping or as outdoor lights. I would recommend this product!

Great idea, but the battery life became a dealbreaker I really wanted to like this light. We camp often and love having string lights around camp. We’ve used simple battery-powered fairy lights for years, and even those will run for 20 hours on 3 AAA batteries, so I was excited to find something that seemed like a upgrade at a decent price. There is a lot to like about the design. It’s compact, you get over 32 feet of lights, and everything winds up neatly into its own case. We took it on its first camping trip and it was great. We used it for three nights without needing to recharge it. Unfortunately, the second trip was a completely different experience. We were camping for three nights in an area without power, and this time the light barely lasted about three hours. It was especially disappointing because after the first trip went so well, we had planned on using this as our primary light around camp. I initially thought maybe we hadn’t fully charged it before leaving. When we got home, I charged it completely and tested it again in the house. Within a couple of hours, the battery was dead. This was just using the basic white light mode, nothing special that I would expect to drain the battery unusually fast. Maybe we received a defective unit, because the difference between the first trip and every use since has been dramatic. I really wanted to love this product because the design is perfect for camping, but a rechargeable camp light needs to hold a reliable charge, especially when you’re somewhere without access to power.

I was fortunate enough to receive these OGERY Camping String Lights via the Amazon Vine Programme - Thank You They arrive boxed complete with charging cable and instructions. I call them ‘washing line light’ as the string lights reel into the waterproof plastic casing, (like a washing line) making it easy to store, compact and portable. The back of the casing has three magnetic buttons, centre torch light, the control button, usb charging port and battery indicator. This handy light can be used attached to metal, hung from the reel winder and used as a table light. Once the string lights are unreeled there are different options for lighting warm white, RGB flashing and breathing. As a compact light the lighting options consist of the same light options plus two white light dotted modes. The string lights look great in the garden and attaching them couldn’t be easier with the hooks at the start of the string and back of the casing. The battery lasts a good while. They are going to be ideal at our static caravan, as it will magnetically attach to the caravan and it will be great for camping holidays. This really is a versatile light which can be used indoors as well as outdoors and perfect for so many occasions. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
