Do you sell, or at least recommend, A pre filter to extend the life of the deionizer?

is this something you can use for your household drinking water? if not can someone suggest what to use or point me in the right direction?

Depends what your concerns about your water are.You can look at a dechlorinator which will remove most chlorine and other chemicals via charcoal but leaves the minerals.Or you can look at Reverse Osmosis which does what the dechlorinator does plus removes minerals.We have extremely hard water here (800 ppm, avg is about 150 ppm) so I use RO for drinking, tea, juice, coffee, etc. plus I use RO as the final rinse for my vehicles.

Do you have to empty and rinse after each use ?

Good afternoon Jan,No you don't, you don't even have to empty the waster unless you aren't using it for more that 3 wks. You do want to change your resin when your meter is reading 20PPM. what is the life expectancy of this unit?

You'll be disappointed if you don't pre filter the water entering this unit. Chlorine alone will exhaust the resin prematurely. I was washing two and half cars before resin exhaustion.
